A paleontologist who graduated from my alma mater, NC State University, discovered a two-fingered Therizinosaurus.

ah....a therizinosaur, not an actual Therizinosaurus.  I think there is already a thread on this.  Very interesting find.

I heard that presumably the reduction in the number of fingers enabled it to reach for his selected plant food in a more targeted manner.
