Morning all,

Not sure if there is an awareness of these yet!

Kaiyodo seem to be back in the Gashapon dinosaur game with this five figure Tyrannosaurus set. A little research would indicate that they're a 2013 release. Just ordered mine and can't wait for them to arrive  ;)

Interesting. I hope they release some more of the larger vinyl pieces this year as well.

sauroid

wow they look awesome. hope to acquire them someday. are there any other dino species for 2013 from Kaiyodo?

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Those are just beautiful! Though the retro orange one's a bit of the odd man out, hah.

Exciting news :D! Thanks for the info, Blackdanter.
I had to order me one as well. they will never be that reasonably priced again ;).

brontodocus

Hurra! :) I had seen individual figures a few days ago but this is the first time I see them offered as a set.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a T-rex by Krentz? My friends all have Sideshow, I must make amends.

There should be 6 of them though--one is a Yutyrannus (the grey one)!

It looks like the ones on either side of the Yutyrannus are variants of the same figure. One could be a special and so not technically part of a set ?

Horridus

There was no way I could resist these! Bought 3 of them just now. They look lovely.

My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

Where can I find the Yutyrannus in the USA? By the way Yutyrannus was on the unique specimens list, right?

It should have been, but I guess it's off now!

The bottom one is the "Special".  The one with the "red mane" is the regular (thank goodness since its much better looking.  I bought the 5 'regular' pieces and am awaiting receipt from Japan....

Interesting! I am more fond of the "special" coloration, myself. Of course that did not stop me from buying the "normal" set  :D That Yutyrannus looks vastly superior to the Takara/Tomy version from last year - which is, I think, the only other figure of the genus available.

Bokisaurus

Aha! That solves the mystery! I saw two unusual Kaiyodo-like T-rexes that I was not familiar with and went ahead and got it thinking it was from a company I did not know about, but they were these guys! Now I can't wait to see them in person (still waiting for them)

I just realized I never answered your first question, which is an easy one.

You can't. They aren't sold outside of Japan.

Clawmark Toys will probably have some soon.
