Appraise this, please.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mega-Lot-Of-120-Dinosaur-Figures-Near-Mint-Including-23-Jurassic-Park-Dinos-/151660204269?

I got the JP part appraised according to my standards. What about the rest?

Too expensive. There's a few nice figures in there, but not enough to warrant 500 bucks, let alone 800. 200, tops.

After painstakingly calculating everything, I calculated it all to be at $308.17 USD.

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Roselaar

250 euros for a Schleich T-Rex which was released only recently? That's a joke, right?

CityRaptor

The seller claims it had a limited run in Australia, with only 99 made.

This seller has some retro-style resin statues - quite inexpensive. Not really my thing, but someone here may be interested!

Daspletodave

I saw that Battat listing - he lists 33 dinos but there are only 32 in the pics - he's missing the mini Ouranosaurus.
Another Battat listing has been added - 9 dinos for 250 USD.

Pegasus Spinosaurus. Could be a recast. (an awful lot of these Chinese auctions keep popping up in the Ebay adds on our forum)

Found some lots while browsing ebay UK. Some have quite a few vintage models in reasonably good condition, so it occurred to me that someone might be interested.

This on includes a Kenner? JP Dilophosaurus, a retro Carnegie Tyrannosaurus and an AAA Deinonychus:

This one includes unpainted Invicta Triceratops and Stegosaurus (possibly knock-offs):

All Battat dinos for 1.000 USD:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/battat-dinosaur-HUGE-lot-collection-large-and-mini-terra-too-33-total/321747004532?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D30987%26meid%3D11be680f3ca34d81a9de47fd57ddcaa7%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D251948959538&rt=nc

That seller listed an auction with just the minis, including the mini t-rex. I made an offer and he accepted. When I went to pay, I got a message from eBay saying that he cancelled the auction. I decided to message him and ask why he cancelled the auction after he accepted my offer. He first said that he cancelled it because the mini t-rex is missing. I messaged him again, and he is saying that all the minis are available, but just not the mini t-rex anymore.

I have a strong feeling that he sold the mini t-rex to someone else, after I won the auction. It is VERY frustrating to say the least......

Just thought I would post this so that no one gets mixed with that seller.

My sympathies.  When I used to sell on ebay (and as you may know, I sold a TON of dino figures between about 2004-2014), I would (politely) tell off countless emailers who would make me offers for auction items off-line.  As I would say, it would be unfair to everyone else who is interested in the item for me to pull the auction, not to mention against ebay rules.

I looked at this fellow's listings and also note that he never had the "complete" mini set listed because a complete mini set would be 11 figures, not 10!  There were 10 mini figures sold in 2 packs of 5 each.  The Trex was the elusive "11th figure" that was never sold as part of either set, and is almost impossible to find ... I never had one, and given that I've had just about everything at one time or another - (including the WWD Ornitocheirus that I sold last year when I liquidated my collection) - that's saying something!

This still ticks me off as both a buyer and a seller. I sell on eBay and I find it irritating when buyers send me offers through email.

I've had it happen to me multiple times as a buyer as well. It's actually kinda underhanded and sneaky when you think about it.

EmperorDinobot

That really sucks.

When I sell stuff outside of ebay I pull the items out as soon as I can. And when I sell stuff in lots, which I rarely ever do, I get tons of people asking me if I can pull a figure from the lot and sell it to them. I've always told them "no" What I do now to avoid those questions is that I just list everything out individually. If they want it, they'll come get it. I currently only have one lot up, a Chap Mei lot of humans, and this Brazilian who collects Chap Mei wants them... He also wants to send me $$$ so I can hunt for Chap Mei stuff on his behalf.

Pffft.

Whatever, a job is a job.

Hey, if anyone sees lots with Disney's Dinosaur and Planeta DeAgostini items, let me know.
