Moodyraptor

I've seen brown raptors go for that price, but I also snagged one myself for £30 not so long ago.   8)

I just realized you are the seller. Thanks for the heads up this Papo T rex is coming home to Papa. He will get a paint restoration.

P.S. My luck just watch Papo will now come out with a mass produced Brown version.

pako

Hey !!

I am glad it went to someone here, great news !

I saw you were asking questions about repainting a papo so I had a feeling it could be you hehe.

Please post a picture once it is repainted  ;)

You are probably mistaking people here. You've been mentioning the Papo brown running rex in my thread about commissions, but Doug Watson didn't ask about repaints, as far as I'm aware. He's a professional artist, he wouldn't need to commission a repaint.

Congratulations on selling the figure, how much did it go for?

As Reptilia says that wasn't me. I only plan to restore the paint not do a complete repaint.

Yes I plan on painting it myself, touching up the worn areas only.

Oups, yep my bad. Well I am even happier about the fact that he is a professional artist.

Thanks, figure went for 83 euros, that will help me to get the new Papos  ;) (I am missing 11 figures to have the full collection)

Did anyone see this listing? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kleinwelka-Saurierpark-Parasaurolophus-Diplodocus-vintage-dinosaur-model-/322514579881?hash=item4b175df1a9%3Ag%3AaGsAAOSwR29ZFgoY&nma=true&si=cjF2jKOZ8xV790nh7FZO8eJBlF4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

$5,100.00 US final bid for a Kleinwelka Parasaurolophus and Diplodocus! If that is the going rate I guess I won't be completing my Kleinwelka set. Those are the two I need.
That is plain crazy! My goodness the second highest bid was for $5,000.00 US!

I buy a lot from that seller. He told me he got trolled on that auction. I highly doubt they got paid for at that amount

Well both those bidders should be banned from eBay.

ThiS awesome Ultrasaurus just got relisted. Totally worth it people!

And i wholeheartedly agree with you Doug, especially if its a real trolling. The seller was able to co tact the buyer and it was a mistaken bid. The guy bid using two names and forgot to put in the decimal. They sold for $510.00, paid for.

I thought it might have been a misplaced decimal but what is the point of having two eBay names and bidding yourself up? Pretty sure having two bidder names is an eBay infraction as well.
Mind you at $500.00 I still would have passed on these.

Archinto

Yeah, i was thinking of collecting kleinwelkas, but if they go for stupid money like that ill pass. That listing will probably ruin the somewhat affordable market price for those figures.

That makes me wonder if I should roam some local fleamarkets in the eastern parts of my country :D

I have seen and even bought expensive figurines for eBay but that price is mostly abusive considering it is a second hand figure. I suppose it must be a very rare figure, but I reiterate the price is excessive. Jewels and precious stones are sold in jewelry stores for more modest prices than that figure.

I prefer to save that amount of money at best for a bunch of prehistoric dinosaur figures and prehistoric animals, from Safari, Papo, PNSO, Collecta, Favorite, Rebor, Bullyland, Recur or Mojo to give a few examples.
