Safari Ltd. Smilodon Cub, if anyone wants to bid 40+ dollars.

Up to $140 now, between two bidders. I was watching it from the start hoping it would stay lower.

This is curious: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2001-BATTAT-Dinosaur-Model-Figure-Set-4-pc-Collectible-Vintage-Rare-Box/324115978489

A Battat dinosaur set but the sculpts are obviously AAA. Anyone know the story there?

A smart move, I'd say.

And funny enough, the bidder who won the auction was a sniper, bidding once only at the last second. That's why I don't bid early on anything. Just inflates the prices and ruins your changes of getting the figure.

You're right, cool-headedness is wise.

In my case when betting I would have to have much more common sense from now on since I bet huge amounts of money and that is not healthy on my part. It is better to bet for little money ... and you get it is welcome and if you do not get it ... There is life beyond dinosaurs and without dinosaurs! It is not the end of the world not to have a certain figure in a collection, especially when that money is used to pay for household expenses, food, clothing and medicine! Honestly, for my part I have had very little common sense and I plan to change 100 percent.

It's not all dinosaurs and you can find the same figures for a much cheaper price.

As a postscript, I obviously have smilodon and smilodon breeding for many years for the twentieth of the price that has been offered and, of course, I have not been the buyer. Although I respect logically the buyer of these figures. I understand your position and just wanted to do a self-criticism on my part.

Balance is a hard thing both to find and to maintain. Part of the challenge is that the center point seldom is the exact middle ground; rather it shifts and we have to respond to the dynamics of the life lived.

A bunch of original (new with tags) Battats were listed by the same seller:
https://www.ebay.com/usr/eviljam?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Was about to post this. Managed to snag the Styracosaurus and Maiasaura.

I'm wondering how many of these he has then. Because my Maiasaura was in a lot with the Ouranosaurus, I didn't mention it cuz I already own that figure. He also has the full set for sale.

I bought few figures from this seller a while back -
all, with no exception, turned to have a massive 'sweating' problem.

Never had this problem with any other Battat I bought elsewhere.

Don't know how he got them, I guess they could be some QA Default.
just saying ... for you all to take into consideration.

"Sweating" as in the plastic becoming sticky? Or the sculpt/mould having defects?

Very peculiar, I tried to place an order. Seller is listed in Canada, yet will NOT ship wthin Canada. When I tried to  to get a shipping price, eBay blocked the communication, saying seller n/a. Then another one stating no shipping to Ontario, though the seller advertises self as being in Canada. Weird.

"Sweating" as in the plastic becoming so sticky you can not touch it with your bare hands -
It will leave your hand sticky as if you grabbed on a honey plate -
and it will go down from your hands only after you have washed them several times with soap.

Eww. That's a damn shame those Battat figures started doing that. I wonder if it's an issue with the method of storage (e.g. temperature, moisture), or if that particular batch has "faulty" plastic
