it'll be interesting to see if someone will pay that price.

$299.00 USD has been the standard price for the last few years for the Battat Diplodocus, sometimes a tad more, rarely less. This is a quantum leap, but the seller is justifying the price by the apparent mint or near mint condition. Remains to be seen if there is a bite. That a lot of PNSO's, Nanmu, etc. for the cost. I have almost the complete Battat set, with numerous multiples, but NO Dippy, NO mini- T-rex. Point of principle - I can't in good conscience spent this kind lucre for even this "holy grail". or the mini rex, just can't!

Pachyrhinosaurus

I said this before, but in looking for a Battat diplodocus I noticed that it's getting increasingly difficult to find a perfect one. Almost every example on eBay has some kind of paint wear, especially around the head and neck. I didn't pay half that for mine, though.

I think that I was inspired by a story from B @Bokisaurus  a few years ago that a bid was placed for $100 on one before going to bed and lo and behold, in the morning, that was the winning bid! That's what I'm hoping for - probably just a pipe dream, but then, we have to travel hopefully, don't we.

Partly surprised that it's still available at this price and with relatively cheap postage. If I didn't have two, I'd snap it up myself.
