Anyone have any idea what kind of turtle might be accompanying the Saichania? I can't find any turtles from the same horizons as known Saichania or Tarchia remains.

Haha! That's funny!

But....something about the Saichania is off to me. It seems familiar, somehow....

Thats because Sega has a part in the Dinosaur King franchise, which is why the model looks similar to its TV counterpart, its supposed to. ;)

... probably Sinemys Gamera ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinemys ) but it was from Early Cretaceous while Saichania is from Late Cretaceous ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saichania )...  ???

stargatedalek

It also lacks Sinemys giant spines.

It could almost pass as a modern big-headed turtle but that's the only thing that comes to mind.

Yeah, I think it's meant to be some kind of joke. In addition to the time discrepancy that you point out, the turtle in the diorama has a long tail and a high-domed shell, neither of which is true of Sinemys. It looks like some kind of kinosternoid or platysternid. @stargatedalek: some specimens, or perhaps species, of Sinemys didn't have the spines. But I agree it looks a lot like a big-headed turtle.

CityRaptor

Such beauty in miniature.

Is the Ceratosaurus customized or is the one reviewed on the Dinosaur Toy Blog missing paint on the teeth?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

postsaurischian

No customizing. It's all Kaiyodo's astonishing colouring :)!

CityRaptor

Good. That means that the one on the blog is one missing paint and it is not normal. Thanks for clarifying it.

The Thylacine is a nice figure. The human scale figure from Safari's "The Land Down Under" toob is in 1:30.

DinoLord

Very nice. I'm guessing you weren't keen on the golden toad female variant figure?

CityRaptor

Well, I don't think he was not keen, but variant figures like that can be expensive. I remember that back when I got my Kaiyodo Marine Reptile set, the difference between a set with and without the variant Plesiosaurus was 40 Euros.

Your entire collection, and your skills in photographing it, are absolutely superb.

I must admit I am rather partial to a beautiful stegosaur, and this is a genus I haven't heard of before. It's gorgeous!  I really like how it's head is raised up too. :)

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

A "terribile mix":

Predasaurskillekor

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this thread is not open for all to post pictures. It is a bit rude if you come here to post images of your own collection. Probably is better if you keep your vibrant colored dinosaurs in their own thread ;)

It's because of the title of this thread, "Beautiful Dinosaur mix".
People on multiple occasions have posted in this thread making the same mistake, I was one of them.
Because they think it is a thread for pictures of models that mix well with each other.
Maybe we should create a new thread for that? "Dinosaurs that mix together well"?
