That looks more like a Steppe Mammoth to me ... nice size too ...
I agree Simon, and he looks like he is stepping right along
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

Wow, while I was just about to comment on the recent photos of the Favorite Woolly Mammoth (just wonderful, again, many thanks, Helge!)... since I've been around so rarely during the last few months I slowly get the idea what I've been missing! :o Those brilliant Lasha Tschondia skull models (but I recall you already posted at least some of them on the old forum?), Krentz Spinosaurus, Galileo's Plotosaurus, Shane Foulkes' Ceratosaurus... leaves me speechless! 8)

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a T-rex by Krentz? My friends all have Sideshow, I must make amends.

The Tschondia skulls are the best I've ever seen. I'm still sad that I had only discovered them shortly before Ants stopped producing them in 2001 :(,
but I'm happy I could at least get the ones you see here :). They seem to be VERY rare.
Yes, I showed them before on DTF v.1 (baaad pics ;D), I wanted to have these gems in this thread. I just take pictures of anything that comes to my mind coincidentally.

Before the regular three Dinosaur box sets Colorata released a very first 'Dino Box' in 2004, consisting of 12 different figures.
You can see the other species here on DTF v.1: http://dinotoyforum.proboards.com/post/129584/thread

That's a nice Dilophosaurus pack :)

  ^-^ Kaiyodo Dinoland 1:35* Euoplocephalus
                        >  Thanks to ataraxus from whom I got it

A bit outdated (from the early 90s I guess), but a wonderful Kaiyodo sculpt :).
If anybody knows who sculpted this model originally, please let me know!
* as usually the Japanese think Dinosaurs are too big. The model is 22cm long and about 1:25.

my first thought is that it reminds me a lot of Araki's sculpting style, especially if you compare it and Araki's older and newer ankylosaurus; those scutes on their front legs are quite similar and so are the way the smaller scales are sculpted.  Araki's sculpts are stylished and this one would fit in, but of course this is only my  humble opinion and i might be totally wrong......

You might be right. It looks like an Araki sculpt and he was working for them back in these days.
His 100mm Dinoland Stegosaurus also had those scutes on its front legs.
I'd just like to have proof.

....... by the way, I got a package from you today :D .......

that euoplocephalus is a beauty, and the fact that the species is one one of my favorite dinosaur species makes me love the model even more!
i wish i can someday have that model and other kaiyodo dinolands, i'm really fond of them. i only have the ankylosaurus and it's been built and waiting to be painted.
