Recent Acquisitions (Archive, March 2012 - July 2018)

I wound up getting a set of three each of the Nasutoceratops and Sauropelta, one set to keep factory normal, one set I had signed and another set, yes I sent them to Martin for paint and a base. I am excited to see how they progress...but I will offer that Marilyn and Martin did comment they found the models were quite nice.......a bit of praise to the sculpter !!

I'll grant that it's a bit early to start "figure of the year" discussions, but at this point my vote's going to one of those two! What I can't decide is - which one? In any case, I am looking forward to seeing what Martin makes of them.

I just got in this beauty from a colleague in Utah:


It's a Utahceratops print made for the 2011 International Society for the History, Philosophy, and Social Study of Biology conference. The society commissioned a local artist in Salt Lake City for 100 of the prints; mine is #50. Really awesome stuff!

Tyrannosauron, that is an amazing piece of art! If it was an elephant I could totally see myself finding it at a store; its just that sort of style! Great catch there!

Yes, they are resin models.
My next acquisition about Real Series will be the Protoceratops and the standing Citipati.

Megalodon, Archelon, Anomalocaris and Dunkleosteus have a base that is quite similar but you can't switch it between models because of the different pin.

Megalodon's base is longer than the others and wider.
Archelon's base is the shortest one.

Also you can't change the model's orientation (facing upwards or downwards) because the pin has an unique way to connect it to the model.
I hope I was clear enough (sorry for my english..  ).
