and some more photos on the spinosaurus. i really can't get enough of this thing.

Great model indeed. And this reconstruction makes a lot of sense to me.

So just as I was waking up, my dad who had stopped by to grab something before going back to work, handed me a package. It was a wonderful feeling. It was the Safari LTD Scutosaurus from DeJankins that I ordered on Monday. This was my first purchase from there. Totaled out to $18 ($9 Shipping). Totally worth it considering it's a retired figure, and it came here fast (although I'm in PA, they're in NC it seems, might play a part), and was still new in the baggy with tags, and packed carefully (I mean there must have been two feet worth of wrapping paper for this tiny figure). I'm very impressed. I think I'll be getting more figures from them in the future.

Edit: Well my box of Safari LTD figures came today as well. Was my first purchase from their website. It came about an hour after I received my other package with the Scutosaurus. I waited until my dad got back from work to show him what I got. Since I ordered on the Bernie Birthday weekend, and over $40, they included the new 2018 Bernie figure, Bernie good luck mini, and a tiny pin of Bernie. I ordered the Ammonite, Deinocheirus, Iguanodon, and Werewolf. They also threw in a bag of random toob and good luck mini figures (fossil skin, fossil ammonite, a bust of Abe Lincoln, a jellyfish good luck mini, and a statue of liberty and empire state building good luck minis). Quite the assortment there. I took some new pictures of everything I received today with my dad's phone camera (minus the toob and good luck mini figures), alongside the Safari LTD Coelacanth, Inostrancevia, and Minotaur for comparison purposes.  I'm pretty impressed with the figures I received as well, although my Ammonite has a white spot on only one of it's eyes (not sure if it is supposed to have it or not), and my Iguanodon has a few tiny paint scuffs on it here and there. Here's the pictures:

Yep it is pretty tiny, especially alongside my Safari Ltd Apatosaurus, the largest model figure in my collection so far (from 2010). It's crazy how much detail is packed into such a tiny little figure though. In case this may be of help, I used the new shopping cart feature on the site, and paid with my paypal info. Good luck with your future purchase from there. I definitely plan on buying from there again when the need arises (which is soon I'm sure).

You said it.  I had never ordered from Dean before due to the cumbersome email process he used. I read last week that he had updated his site, went there and was amazed that he had inventory of more brands of figures than anyone. I ordered about a dozen, mostly mammals, and they came today, priority mail, most of them at the best prices you'll find anywhere.  A BIG +++ for Dean!!!

Uncle Rex

I agree - Dean is a very reliable dealer and has a large inventory with fair prices. I've made several purchases from Dejankins and will continue to shop there.

amargasaurus cazaui

Probably a case of different strokes for different folks, I preferred working directly with Dean, being able to pass along any specifics I needed, and at times making arrangements here and there for items etc.......of course, I did all my buying there basically so.....

And my two bob's worth...

I've been buying from DeJankins for several years now and I have to agree with all the above comments. It's simply the best online store and Dean is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to deal with.

I'll pass your lovely comments about Dean and Dejankins on to him. He'll be as modest as ever. So the photobucket debacle has some positive outcomes as it was the driver for the website change.

Well I'm officially broke now (in regards to my spending money). I'll need to start saving up again. Just yesterday I went to a different A. C. Moore location and bought the Safari Ltd Unicorn, and Mermaid, for my fantasy creature collection. The store surprisingly had some retired figures still in stock such as the Agathis Conifer, Tree Fern, and Oviraptor on Nest. I added both the trees to my collection, and I'm planning to pick up the retired Cycad at some point. I also bought the Bison and Fox figures. I also picked up the Wolf Link Amiibo at a Gamestop nearby.

Just a moment ago my Safari Ltd Feathered Tyrannosaurus rex, and Yutyrannus, that I ordered from DeJankins recently, came in the mail. The new Tyrannosaurus is very impressive, in sculpt, paint, and size. It's nearly as big as my JW Chomping T. rex. It was probably my most anticipated figure of 2017's releases. A long wait well worth it. The Yutyrannus is also nice, if a bit on the small side. I think it'll make for a nice juvenile if alongside the Feathered Tyrannosaurus. Not sure what scale either are in, though I'm guessing the new T. rex is in 1/35th scale or close.

Jose S.M.

I'm very sure I read over here that the Tyrannosaurus is 1/35 and the Yutyrannus is 1/40 scale.
