Here's something I threw together several years ago for Amazing Figure Modeler.  I have a great affection for Tony's Tyrannosaurs.  This one took some cutting and modifying so that it in the lunging position.  The two figures lock together and if I want to display them separately, then the T-rex and his base lift off of the big base.

No doubt.  I still have another open mouth T-Rex in pristine, unbuilt condtion.  :))
