I'd like to see more landed pterosaurs, perhaps tapejaridae
pterosaurs in a landed pose are so rare

Indeed they are. I actually prefer them that way, sooo much easier to display.

But they don't look as good without their wings spread out!
I may not like feathered dinosaurs and stumpy legged Spinosaurs, but I will keep those opinions to myself, I will not start a debate over it, I promise. 😇

Not when all of them are "crane pterosaurs".

what do you mean by "crane"?
honestly pterosaur wings just don't have the same "bend" to them when in flight that birds do, so they are a lot more limited in position when in a flying pose

I think its unfortunate that the vast majority of landed pterosaur figures are azhdarchids
(hence I mentioned tapejaridae)

Actually, I would like to see a good azhdarchid in a walking or standing pose, perhaps by Battat. Because the only walking pterosaur figures are pretty poor quality.

That's what I ment by "crane pterosaur" azhdarchids.

Yes, that is great, a Tapejara in a landed position would be perfect.

Seriously though, can someone source the 2015 announcements only being revealed in 2015 thing? Safari always announces things in September, why would this year be different?

There is a 99.9% chance that the new Wild Safari releases will be announced in either September or October. That's what they do every year, I highly doubt that this one will be any different.

Who knows, maybe Safari is now doing like Battat and revealing what the new items are when they are actually in stores and online shops, rather than beforehand. :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Cryolophosauro

Another thing that I would love is if safari did another line like their prehistoric life collection, when they released all of their prehistoric mammals. That would be pretty cool.

.....but doubtful... :(

Well I decided to write Safari LTD about that too.

We understand your concern about our 2015 figures being released next year, but we are not sure where or why that information is being shared.
We absolutely will be releasing our figures towards the end of fall. We generally like to have the same time frame each year.
Thank you for taking the time to ask this questions and we hope you have a great day!

*AHEM*

Allow me to translate Safari's reply:

"We soiled our trousers after the Battat bombshell (curse you lorusso!!!!) and are rushing our figures out early this Fall so we are not forgotten."

>:D >:D >:D >:D

stargatedalek

they release every fall, no need to be like that...

Remind me again why the Battat line went under the first time...I'm genuinely curious as to why.

stargatedalek

IIRC it had nothing to do with the dinosaur line, and Battat as a whole was downsizing

Ultimatedinoking

I don't see the big deal about these Dinos coming back, they look really low quality, sloppy paint jobs and poor molding. But I guess some of you like them, so I bet your happy they've made a comeback.

Safari's dinosaurs have been pretty strong in recent years; I don't think they have any reason to be especially worried about Battat's revival. I think a little competition is good incentive for both companies to produce the best models they can.

I would advise you to be cautious about comments like these, as well as your frequent posts regarding Tyrannosaurus feathers. Such commentary could easily be construed as deliberate efforts to incite conflict - in other words, "trolling". While your opinions are welcome, please employ a degree of tact when sharing them in the future.
