Does anyone know if the CollectA Pliosaurus is accurate (e.g. the head sculpt)? I might consider picking one up.

Arul

Just arrived, my first plesiosaur :D

We talked about before..it looked really close minus some artistic license I think..my Adam can shed some light?

Congrats on your first pliosaur ARUL!

Cool. I guess I will be picking it up :) I always look forward to CollectA's marine reptiles. I kinda wished they made the Rhomaleosaurus in a smaller size, though.

Bokisaurus

New Pliosaur from CollectA - this guy is HUGE! Love the addition of parasitic lampreys ;)

Would be interesting to hear what Adam thinks of this new one. Right now, it's the best Pliosaur model out there, IMHO ^-^

Not perfect but they are getting better. Not sure what the patches behind the eyes are supposed to be. I'll review it in due course. Wild Safari Liopleurodon is still better in my opinion.

Arul

Is there a freshwater lamprey? Sounds possible. Leeches now are fresh water.

Me and my local fish are all to well aware of fresh water lamprey :(
They are like bull sharks, they live wherever they please.

Some interesting info on Lampreys : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamprey

I didn't know they were a human food item.

Arul

Thanks for the link Blade :) they lived in river but migrated to the sea when they adult, thats the lifecycle explained from the link. Well lamprey lived alongside a pliosaur and thats the fact if i see from collecta figure  :o

Dinomike

Yes, they get eaten here in Finland where they are called neulamuikku. I'm happy to be vegetarian though.  :)
Check out my new Spinosaurus figure: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=5099.0

Not all of them--invasive sea lampreys in the Great Lakes are quite happy to just stay there all the time. They'll even attack swimming people (thanks, River Monsters! New nightmares!).
