Quoteyou know what thread to go to for the feather debate.[/b]
I agree, I'm getting sick of it.

Me too.

As many of you know, I dislike the tendence of many to assume that all theropods were feathered. But every thread I entered the last month has become a debate about it. I don't think TRex was feathered and even I like all my dino models to be bald (I mean with scales), but lets talk about it in the proper thread, not in every one.

I don't think I'll be able to sit through this one.

The acting is pretty bad...but I have to admit the poking fun of JP was kinda amusing. I do like how colourful the dinosaurs are, even if it doesn't make sense for a large predatory theropod.

JP was the first to poke fun of itself in this way: Michael Crichton wrote a similar scene in The Lost World book.

acting is as I expected from the earlier trailer, but this does seem to be exceeding my initial expectation in terms of entertainment value

it seems they stole fixed the Primeval raptors

Nebuloid

Ooh rainbow Rex ! Nice looking raptors though, could be a fun movie.

DinoLord

The dinosaur models look pretty decent but the plot/acting is somewhat questionable.

DVD premiere on September 29 th in the UK.  No US release date at this time! The UK DVD title is Journey to Dinosaur Island. :(

The movie I want to see is Dinosaur 13 which is a documentary about a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil which ensued my legal issues.  How boringly awesome am I!  ;)

Scipionyx

I don't like the look of the animals, and the  dialogue seems unrealistic and awkward.

Painting by Heinrich Harder.

ITdactyl

don't let the "micro" fool you... it's still a "raptor"... lol

The dinos get nice coats, but the pterosaurs are still leather winged chimeras.  I guess I should be happy they showed quad launch...

..Well, at the very least this movie isn't pretending to be something it's not.

My daughter seems to like it.

I have trouble understanding what the actors were saying, specially on some of the dinosaur names.

Wait, you mean to say to me that there is a company called Extinct Productions? And that they have the guts to make feathered dinosaurs? Like, fully fledged feathers, not like JP 3? Amazing!!!! ;D

The sound effects for the Microraptor sound off, IMO it should be a higher pitched noise.
Otherwise, a must see for me. :D
like a bantha!

The story sure seems to take a note or two from Land of the Lost. The dinosaurs and FX mostly look rather decent. Can't say the same about the acting, though those heavy Aussie accents also play a part in that.

I guess I'll check it out some time anyway. After all, when I was 10 I would have loved to be one of those kids. :)

I don't think an accent makes any difference to your acting ability. But you can't expect much from child actors.

John

When this ends up on DVD and Blu-ray,parents are going to want to be sure that they get THIS version from 2014 and not pick up the decidedly less family friendly and more R rated for nudity 1994 Roger Corman produced "Dinosaur Island" by mistake! ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

docronnie

This movie is my daughter's favorite at the moment.  She watched it again just a few hours ago.

They've released an official trailer for this film (which should be in theatres now). It probably won't leave you speechless, but I like how they are depicting the T-rex as a fully-feathered dinosaur.

Looks like Disney meets Land of the Lost meets Dinosaur Revolution after an explosion at a paint factory
