Saw this on Amazon:

great, its bad enough that cheap books copy it, but now there are toys of the Stock Dinosaur!

Still better than the official JW puppets.

I personally love the Heterodontosaurus.

Translation miscommunication ("Two Measures of Teeth" vs "Different Toothed Lizard") or just complete tomfoolery?

That puppet looks suspiciously like the Papo Allosaurus' head upsized, and placed on a (retooled) Kenner raptor body. Those pirates have ingenuity, if nothing else.

Actually, I thought it looks a bit more like this:

They've been inactive for a while. I wonder what ever happened to the company.

These bootleggers seem to like red/oranger & black colorschemes.

I also wonder if the brown colors on the Collecta bootleg are inspired by Papo making color variants of their Rexes in green and brown, which in turn calls back the  Jurassic Park movies, where it is part of the sexual dimorphism.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I am stunned, just stunned! Stunned is the only way to describe how, stunned I am.
Safari, Battat, CollectA, just step down now - there's no use trying anymore. That Heterodontosaurus is like looking at the real thing.
*obvious sarcasm*

Inpro made one. It's...not good. But it's still a better attempt than that!

Indeed. I'd go so far as to say that it could easily be a museum quality reconstruction. *Also obvious sarcasm mode.*

ok let's move on already...
since it is the holiday season, i've been seeing a more than usual amount of (really terrible) knock-offs in the big toy chains around here. they are quite an eyesore on the dino/animal shelves
(i'd actually rather see non-KO chinasaurs tbh).
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

This isn't dinosaurs, but REAL THING:

Some bootlegs are really getting better. Even in other toylines like Play Arts Kai, Bandai, etc., the bootlegs are almost Xerox copies of the originals.

Now for someone, who is on a budget, and just wants to play with his toys and don't want to accidentally destroy his precious expensive originals, well this would be a sensible option.
