For the past 2 months i have been reentering the dino world
With my 1/23 sideshow apato i want to build a collection around that scale

by now i made myself a small wishlist
But i want to build and paint them to
My first experiment  was a gorgosaurus
Its the big 1

i repainted it for i had never done a dino before
It was a mixed succes for the paint reacted on one another
And it stands now in a corner

Arul

Wow i just know it,Sideshow apato is really huge :o

reinier zwanink

Yes it is aral and i cant stop looking at it
But i didnt open this post just for these 2 ;)

I got my hands on a brachiosaurus from horizon
It was a recast in very bad shape to
It took me some days to correct the misshapes and get it build

here it stands next to my apato

and here is is after a pre wash proces

Now i forgot to make more photos of the proces
But here it is today

my first ever dinosaur
Stil needs some work do

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

I have been experimenting with some models to find a good way of painting them
So far its not easy to find any tips
Here are some pics

A stegosaurus for collecta (was in black)
And a tupuxuara from shapeways

This one was actually completed

they are raptors from tamiya but painted like the eoraptor in dino revolution

Nowadays i am working on a rhamphorhynchus in full scale
Never done that before

reinier zwanink

After seeing a brachio here on the forum i wanted to try it to
Lucky i had an old and brownie sleich here that needed paint
So i used that 1

this was before i started with washes

this is how it looks now
Still need to do some wash and detailing
Ideas are always welcome

tyrantqueen

That's a significant improvement from the old paint :)

triceratops83

You've made a dull figure very vibrant.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I short time ago i got my hands on a camarasaurus
And i had it send to martin for his magic
Here are some pics

I gave him a free hand with 3 references to guide him
its a good end result

Now it here with more of that scale

Now i am working on a dicreasaur myself

And on to the search for more big sauropods

Ikessauro

Great job. May I ask where do you get those plants? I specially like the palm trees.

Arul

Look at the apatosaurus, david krentz apato is very lovely small but beauty  :)

reinier zwanink

I found a nice pic of "leonardo" and wanted to do it like that

TQ sold one early r and i really like it
