The allosauroid one, the ceratopsoid one and the stegosaurian one.  ...Although the stegosaurian one needs to be updated by avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum so I'm not sure it's still active...

Should a top ten 2023 poll shortlist be started now that the year is over? Or would it be a good idea to wait until next month before starting it?

I've been thinking about a top 10 poll for 2023 figures, I think it will be very interesting, particularly with all the good figures Haolonggood has produced.  In the past a poll for the previous year's figures has been done at the start of the new year.  I think now is a good time for the 2023 figures poll!

I see no reason why it shouldn't be started now.

Okay, I guess I could start one later today if folks want (unless someone else wants dibs). Gonna finish up on a few more updates/corrections (BotM) and additions (Takara Tomy) for the DinoToyCollector website first since I imagine it could start as a good baseline to reference from.

Edit: Correcting the BotM releases took my whole day. That said the list of 2023 BotM figures is now up to date, this includes Wave 1 (minus the grey/unpainted T. rex figures), 1.5, and 2 Tyrannosaur Series, the baby Diabloceratops, and the bulk of the Fan's Choice Ceratopsian Series repaints (minus the 2022 Medusaceratops, which I reviewed recently), among a few others. That said the T. rex figures were included in last year's poll as a result of the grey versions being released then, so unless there are any objections, I think it makes sense to exclude them this time around. Takara Tomy is yet to be finished on the DTC website, but well I have a much more complete thread to reference from. So before I go to bed tonight I'll get the shortlist started.

I've created a video for the allosauroid poll and sent it to avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum!  I intend to make a video for the ceratopsoid poll soon too, and for the stegosaurian poll when Dr Admin feels it's ready for it.  So, now might be a good time to decide what to do next!  avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi has a thread for an informal poll, so am I right in thinking it doesn't take up one of the three slots for active polls, Dr Admin?

What would people like for the next top 10 poll?  Is it finally time for the second version of top 10 Tyrannosaurus toys?  Or should we wait for Eofauna's Tyrannosaurus?  A new top 10 Wild Safari figures poll is something I'd be interested in!  Or would people prefer a completely new subject for a poll?

DefinitelyNOTDilo

Given recent releases a top 10 sauropod figures poll seems in order, though maybe it would be better to wait until after HLG's next set of upcoming sauropods has released.

avatar_Sim @Sim I requested a while back a Paleozoic poll. A prehistoric mammal poll (or Cenozoic in general) would be of interest to me too. I think the Tyrannosaurus poll should wait until the Eofauna one is available (May or so). Maybe give it to the end of the year in case PNSO or Haolonggood or another company drops another one of interest.

That's sound advice.

Won't be needed for a few months from now (early Jan), but thought I'd ask if anyone is interested in maintaining this year's top ten poll (if not can I do it again)?

I already have a list (excel sheet) put together of the more prominent brands collected from here (CollectA, Creative Beast, Haolonggood, PNSO, Safari, etc) that I can share if needed. Only ones not added are Mattel's yet (waiting on pre poll discussion) and the occasional other brand (though did add the Mesozoic Life Spinosaurus). I fully expect Haolonggood and PNSO to dominate the poll once released, but it will be interesting if there will be any others to break through to the top 10.

I'd personally be happy to see you do it! Thanks for making a start.
