Speaking of, just got a notification from BigBadToyStore that "Wind Hunter" is expected in stock within the next couple of weeks, so we'll soon see if that balance issue has been taken care of.

I doubt it though.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Dobber

Yeah,  kind of have the same feeling. Especially because they never commented on it further. You'd think they would've made some form of announcement if they fixed the problem.

You know, it's kind of insulting that JC has the same enthusiasm for this beautiful peice as he does for the horrid Jurrasic World toys.

Chris

I believe JC might just be acting passive aggressive to the Jurassic World Toys. I mean he's calling the little army guys "Oompa Loompas". The only one I remember him really liking is the I-Rex and perhaps the Pteranodon VS Helicopter.  ;) Not to mention like so many others have said he has to be nice to a degree in his reviews if he wants early access to these figures.

Anyhow I have received and e-mail from Dan saying Wind Hunter and Savage should be in his store very soon. With that said I'm very eager to finish paying Savage off! :D

I think you mean in the next couple of days.

I may pick up the Utahraptor if it seems like the balance/base issue has been resolved.

Rebor's marketing campaign seems effective, from the packaging of their models, to the approach in revealing the models, even down to sending reps out into the wild to stir up controversy. Seems like they have gotten lots of traction on Facebook too and all of this without an official website that lists their products.

I am interested in this Ceratosaurus, but I could not believe that after nearly 10 minutes of blabbering about the figure, the reviewer didn't even answer my simple question: how well does it stand without the base?

Apparently it stands just fine.

Well that is way cool to see!  :)) Liking this Ceratosaurus more and more...

Wow! REBOR has come along way since the introduction of the 'Y-rex'. The REBOR Ceratosaurus has all the characteristics of a high-end model kit. I absolutely love love the osteoderms "fungal scales" - Everything Dinosaur provided some excellent historical information in that video regarding the relevancy of the armored scales (e.g. Othniel C. Marsh's mention of the likeness to crocodilian scales). I feel that the layer of scales covering the Ceratosaurus renders the model exceptionally distinctive, especially when coupled with the unique color palette.   I really doubt that anyone would have major issues with the scales unless they have something along the lines of trypophobia...I also appreciate the closer look at the 'deeply grooved/furrowed teeth' or 'dentisulcatus' and Everything Dinosaur provides further background information regarding the arrangement of the teeth in 5:17 of the video.

Great review by everything dinosaur ! Thanks for give us more explanation about the ceratosaurus in scientific way JC not did that. Plus, very stunning model REBOR !!

From my point of view is the best on the market ceratosaurus toy collecting, improved more than the ceratosaurus Safari.

I would like to know who the sculptor(s) for REBOR is (are).

You know I haven't heard that mentioned. I wonder if it's the same guy who sculpts for Papo given the general look and appearance of detail in each..or maybe his brother..lol

Wingrave27

Got mine this morning, very nice looking model, very well detailed and the base is also very well done. The model had some standing issues at first though with the legs being in such a position that it wouldn't even stand on a flat surface so I let it sit in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes then I was able to manipulate the legs so the feet sat perfectly in the indents then I held it like that until it cooled. It now stands perfectly on the base!

Tbolt

Hi guys, I am pretty new to the world of dino collecting. I accidentally stumbled accross Rebor, and was searching out info which landed me here. I have this and the Utahraptor in my pile of loot, can't wait to get them shipped. Will probably pick up their T-Rex as well by then. I really like where they are aiming for. As a Sideshow collector, I appreciate a bit higher reach, but I feel that SS is too expensive to assemble an appropriate diorama to collect with my daughter, and these are hitting my sweet spot. This thread just informed me of the next one in the pipeline, keep them coming!

Dobber

Hello Tbolt, welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of passionate and knowledgable people here and there are a lot of different types of pieces that can be collected!
