It is a beauty of Kayacasaurus figures! Wouldn't you be interested in creating your own brand of dinosaurs and toy animals if you had enough economic potential? You have made a real work of art. Magnificent bird of terror.

I think it´s just a matter of time until one of the large companies offers him a job, if they haven´t already. All of his sculpts are so beautiful and refined, he definitely deserves more recognition.

I'm definitely interested in having my Sculpts made into figures. There's the economic cost, and then there's also the skill of going on alibaba, selecting a factory, asking for a quote, all with a language barrier. Maybe I need a business partner  :)) . As far as getting hired, no large companies have replied. However I will have some exciting news this year, I can't say what it's about yet but it should be good. In the meantime I'll be making resin figures  :D https://www.etsy.com/shop/Kayakasaurus

Great, nice figures! Penalty that they are made of resin, in any case the prices with which you sell those beauties is very low. If one day you sell PVC figures, do not hesitate to contact me because I would buy them for you.

Good to see your Etsy is so popular, avatar_Kayakasaurus @Kayakasaurus.  One (hopefully polite and constructive) criticism - whilst I can see why the basic idea of each model being a different colour is appealing, it does feel a bit gimicky and might be offputting to some.  What if someone already have a colour scheme in mind and then got a bright purple dinosaur?

That's what basecoating is for.

Beautiful and I can't believe it's so small, you managed to put so much details! Great to see how you sculpted it, its always helpful to watch the process. :)

The brightly colored proto and tethy casts are from a while ago. The Pinacosaurus and other current casts are various shades of brown green and grey so they look more natural. As far as painting, a coat of brush or spray on primer does the trick.

Indeed, but sad to cover up the original colour. :-\

Nice Kelenken, I'll check the vid when I've got a min.

Hey everyone! For those interested in making their own models or seeing how they're made, I have a new mold making video. There's a lot of information here, I was surprised it all fit into 10 minutes. It's divided into 8 steps and techniques, and at the end there's a buying guide comparing different silicones. I hope it makes sense haha

Yes, this is exactly what i needed right now. Thanks again!

One bit I don't quite understand is how the powder helps stop the bubbles in the unvented spikes of the Pinacosaurus.

Beautiful piece and well-crafted video! I'm totally stealing your painter's tape trick for holding the armature wires together.

After all these years of having a Styracosaurus for my icon I finally sculpted one lol. I hope you like the video. I'm saving Styrac and Parasaurolophus to be released at once along with a third species.

Fantastic sculpture and a well-made video!

Fantastic work as usual. Can't wait to see it coloured in the Future. If that will happen.
Looking forward to new Sculpts and are you willing to tell us, how long the whole sculpting Process was with the Styracosaurus? To me, this would be really interesting. avatar_Kayakasaurus @Kayakasaurus

As usual, my sons found your latest video, this time just minutes after you posted it. (I think it had 20 views when we watched it.) Amazing work, as usual. And since the skull is your logo, the pressure was on!
