Always a great pleasure to watch Kayakasaurus' videos and to see the full process.  Beautiful interpretation of a great model.

So, the paint job on this is absolutely gorgeous (and using Silly Putty as a mask is such a good idea, I'm keeping that in mind for future projects).

I really want to give a shout out to your video skills, though. The camera movements, the lighting, the editing, the way you frame the steps of the process--they all come together to make a really engaging final product. It's especially impressive that you manage to tell a cohesive story without a voiceover. I'm sure you'll get a lot of praise for the figure itself (and you deserve it!), but good video production often gets overlooked, so I wanted to make sure someone mentioned that to you as well.

Thank you! I've been making an effort to improve the editing and overall quality with the last few videos so I'm glad to hear that feedback.

Thanks! And yes as others have said it's a great model, makes it easy to paint!

Hey!

I made Anurognathus, more than a few, life size! I've been working on this video for a while. You may notice there are four different models in the video. The first one is looking up, the second one is perched looking down, I designed it to sit on my hat but it also works well for shelves or any other ledge for its claws to hang over. The other two are Jeholopterus which is a larger genus of anurognathid. While filming outside a shield bug landed on my box I was carrying them in and it was happy to crawl onto my anurognathus for the video  :))

If anyone is interested in the unflocked prints + eyes let me know, I didn't have time to finish all 26  :)) the flock box is actually less expensive than the hand held kind diorama builders use for grass, it's a pretty fun project!

WOW, that's incredible!  Fingers crossed for more awesome 3D printed life-size critters.  ;D

Lanthanotus

Once more those look great avatar_Kayakasaurus @Kayakasaurus, awesome work on those winged "Critters" (and on filming/editing). That being said, I hope we nevertheless also see more manual sculpting by yours :D

That technique with the grass "blowing" box is new to me, I only used the classic applicator to restore fur on good ol`MotU Mossman. Just a short note on detailing.... if you use a brush or air brush on the freshly applied fur, you can give is some direction which enhances the authentic look even more.

avatar_Kayakasaurus @Kayakasaurus I congratulate you that anurognathus is adorable, worth having as a pet one in your collection. Will you market that figure in the future? It is surprisingly good.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Wow, that is outstanding. Anuragnathids are ripe for this sort of thing  I wonder why no one else has done so.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Hey!

I did something a little different for this video, the first half shows the process of making the dinosaurs and eggs, while the second half is watching YouTubers crack them open. I got to collaborate with some of the people I've met along the way, as well as my two favorite crafting channels you may also like. Also I talk ;D https://youtu.be/9pza7cqlCgg

Here are 3 of the 5 hatchling species in the video, the other two are Dilophosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus

The Triceratops is utterly charming!

The video was so much fun. The writing, the editing, and of course the figures themselves, all top-notch stuff. All the dinos turned out great, but that Pachyrhinosaurus was stunning. The sandy browns really suited it.

(And how charming was Studson's video of the hatch?? Always nice to see collabs between YouTubers I follow.)

All the extra copies of the figures vanished from Etsy before I could even see them. Any chance you'll put the stl files up for sale? Would love to print and paint a baby dino for myself.
Check out my customs thread!

Bokisaurus

Awesome and enjoyable video! Those babies are super cool! ^-^

Kayakasaurus

I'm glad you liked it, I invested in a new laptop and editing software so I was able to do a lot more. Yeah I was very glad to get to work with Studson and Crafsman! The first batch did go fast! I just shipped 15 packages today. I'll keep listing more prints of all 5 species on Etsy. Yes the STL files are available on my patreon https://www.patreon.com/Kayakasaurus 1 file a month at the $4 tier and multiple files for $10, just DM me on there if you don't see the one you want and I'll create a download link

I just watched Laura Legends video today, very nicely done!

Hey! I just finished one of my largest sculptures yet; a life size Stegouros! I wanted to sculpt this one as soon as I saw it because it's in the feasible size range that I could do. I had to try a few new materials and techniques to pull it off but it worked out well. I think Collecta is the only company to do a Stegouros so far? Maybe PNSO will do one, that would be neat to see. In addition to the different sculpting mediums I came up with a new way to 3D print resin eyes with texture built into them for painting. I wanted to get the resin cast look without having to go through all of those steps. If you're interested I'm selling scale models of this Stegouros on Etsy, current sold out but I'm printing them daily again.

I don't think I shared my diictodon diorama here so I'll link that too.
