I love the Deinocheirus! Congrats for having it :D .
There might be a re-issue of it (like the Spinosaurus from the Expo 2016) but you never know.
Thanks.
Yes, I thought the same thing before ordering the couple.
I bought the 2016 Expo Spino at a much higher price; then it was released in Kanna' store for a cheaper one.. >:(
But the Deino looks so beautiful that I didn't want to miss it...  O:-)

Probably a lot of new DTF members don't know Mr. Martin Garratt.
Martin Garrat is the owner of UMF Models shop in UK.
But he is also a great painter and sculptor of resin figures.
When a collector needs a professional painter for his/her figures, Martin Garratt is always the best choice.  8)
Unfortunately Mr. Garratt is experiencing some health problems right now so commissions will be closed until he'll get better.
Of course I wish all the best to Martin.
In the meantime I'd like to show a little parade of models painted by Martin Garratt from my collection.
I hope you like them.

How very beautiful. A good idea to show them together like this.

Faelrin

All of those models or statues are not only beautifully painted but also wonderfully sculpted too (including the bases). It's quite a fantastic assortment of creatures too. Thank you for sharing all of those.

I hope he can get better as well. He's such a fantastic painter.

I wasn't so active in last months, sorry.. I was really busy with my work.

Just a couple of figures I received recently.
Both figures are outstanding (..and I'm not a Papo/Rebor fan anymore..): Papo Limited Edition Spinosaurus and the incredible Grab'N'Go Rebor Komodo Dragon.
Even Stephen Strange is speechless..  ;)

(Thanks to avatar_Everything_Dinosaur @Everything_Dinosaur for the extremely fast shipping in these Christmas days)

More pictures on this thread soon.

Merry Christmas to all

Oh my, both are fantastic! Love the detail of the belly bite. Which is the unfortunate prey (which looks superb also)?

Uncle Rex

A wonderful recreation of a scene from the "Walking With" series. Thanks for sharing these terrific photos of your collection. I always enjoy seeing your updates.

Yesterday I ordered the new Schleich 2020 Postosuchus.
To be honest, it's not a great-looking figure.
But I'm intrigued by archosaurs and there are only few on the market.
So I even bought Schleich' one.

You can see a video review here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3DIK7JYYfA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF10LBCgoWs

Then I thought to post a little Tribute about Postosuchus, Rauisuchia and Archosaurs through figures from my collection.
Here it is..

Schleich Postosuchus isn't so accurate.
It looks like an illustration easily available on the web:

Probably the most famous Postosuchus on the market is from Safari Ltd.

There was also a resin kit by Jeff Johnson but I don't have it:

Postosuchus became famous after BBC tv show "Walking With Dinosaurs"

Toyway was the official line of figures from the show:

There is a long time discussion about Postosuchus' posture: was it quadrupedal, bipedal or semi-bipedal ?
" The extreme shortness of the forelimbs relative to the hind limbs, the very small hands, and measurements of the vertebrae suggest that Postosuchus may have been committed to bipedal locomotion. " ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postosuchus )

"Walking With Dinosaurs" was conservative about that:

Same for some well-known illustrations:

Classic skeletal reconstructions sounds like this:

A balance aenigma..

More recent reconstructions are quite different:

Scott Hartmann on 2018:

Postosuchus now is quite different from the past:

The illustrator Julius T. Csotonyi did a "theropod-like" view about Postosuchus

In my collection I have a Shane Foulkes 1:10 statue (painted by Martin Garratt ) that resembles to new ideas about the animal:

This is mine now... :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRBuwyusK_E

Different paint schemes by Martin Garratt and Shane Foulkes:

Now this resin kit is available at Urzeitshop as finished model.

Our old ideas about Postosuchus now belong to Prestosuchus chiniquensis:

From Safari Ltd. :

Another big archosaurs from Argentina is Saurosuchus galilei.

It's well know between collectors because of a Japan Expo ("Dawn of the Dinosaurs")  that sold a (now) rare set of figures.
Unfortunately I don't have the original Saurosuchus from the Expo:

(Expo Saurosuchus is the figure on the low side of picture)

Those Expo figures are now very difficult to find and quite expensive:

The original model at the Expo:

Because of the difficulty to find that figure, I talked to DTF' member Jetoar and he created a wonderful Saurosuchus figure after a commission from me:

As far as I know, there is also a Saurosuchus miniature by Acheson Creations (but I don't have it):

"A little tribute about  Postosuchus, Rauisuchia and Archosaurs"  PT. 2

On 2015 a DTF member discovered that Bullyland created a Protochirotherium wolfhagense figure  for Regionalmuseum, Wolfhagen (Germany).
Protochirotherium is known mainly for footprints.

Bullyland Protochirotherium was a limited edition for the museum:

Last year I found a second copy of the figure.
I sent it to Mr. Martin Garratt for customization:

Protosuchus is crocodylomorph from the Early Jurassic.

Starlux Protosuchus:

Another archosaur from Triassic is Ornithosuchus.

From Kenner:

Bullyland figures for the Stuttgart Museum (Germany) are legend.

Arizonasaurus:

Original Stuttgart Museum diorama about Arizonasaurus :

Bullyland Arizonasaurus:

Batrachotomus

(copyright @Scott Hartmann)

Original Stuttgart Museum diorama about Batrachotomus

Bullyland had 2 version about Batrachotomus: red & blu.
Luckily I have both:

Lotosaurus is a poposauroid from China:

I have a Shapeways model by Galileo Hernandez (GN Models), painted by Martin Garratt :

Desmatosuchus is a genus of archosaur belonging to the Order Aetosauria

From Schleich Replicasaurus line:
