I'm very tempted to go for this too. A few questions for you:
1) How many parts is the kit form of this peice/what is the parts breakdown of the kit?
2) what happens to our pledge money if the project isn't fully funded?
3) where do you plan on selling the kits after the project has ended in case I chose to pledge at a lower leave that doesn't include a kit but still want to get one at a later date?

Thanks for any info, it really looks like a great peice.  ;)

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your compliment. Here are some answers to your questions:

1: The kit will come in 5 pieces, 1:head 2:body 3/4:arms 5:tail. Parts will need drilling and pinning "fairly straight forward for modelers" I did my best to create easily filled seams.

2: It is all or nothing on Kickstarter, your pledge money gets refunded by Kickstarter if I fail to get fully funded.

3: Initially I plan to offer my kit on my website nickfonseca.com I also will sell them through Etsy, and possibly on Ebay. If there is enough interest in the kit going forward, I was planning on approaching sites such as Dan's Dinosaurs. All payments from my site would go through paypal, Etsy has multiple payment options including pay pal, credit card, check/money order etc.

I hope this answers your questions adequately Chris, and I hope to have you as a backer. Time is swiftly running down, and every bit helps.

Best,

Nick Fonseca

Hi Chris,

I need to post a correction, I said that the kit comes in 5 parts; however it actually comes in 7. I forgot to add in the legs which brings up the total to 7. My apologies, I didn't want to be misleading.

Hey All! Just a reminder a reminder about my Deinonychus Kickstarter Campaign. We are at 76% but we have only 6 days left. If we don't reach 100% percent funding we will lose all previous pledges. That will push production of this model much farther away into the future. So, please share with your friends and come over and pledge. Even a modest pledge gets you a reward gift; $25 gets you a cool Deinonychus T-Shirt, and helps to successfully bring this project to a close.

Thanks everyone!

Hey guys! We are at 92% at Kickstarter. We have just about 24 hours left to hit our goal. We need about 400$ to cross the line. If you want to be a part of getting this model into production please come over make a pledge. We are nearly there!

Congratulations Nick! I just pledged as well, I really wanted to pledge enough for a model, but I don't have the funds at the moment. :(. At least I gave enough to get a cool t-shirt out of it though.

I really hope the kit will be available at a later date as I really do want to get one.

Thanks Chris! Much appreciated. If all goes well I hope to be able to offer more of them through my Etsy store via my website at nickfonseca.com sooner rather than later. First I have to fulfill a lot of rewards and build up and paint some as well. So keep your eyes open for more updates via Kickstarter/me etc. Thanks again Chris!

Nick, I just looked around your website...WOW! Your 1:1 scale Velocirator is AMAZING!! Are those real feathers on it? Also, I love your Giganatosaurus, what scale is it? It has a really nice color scheme. Incredible work my friend. I look forward to buying your sculpture, hopefully not too long from now....you have some real talent!

For those who missed it his web site is here: www.nickfonseca.com

Do yourselves a favor and check out his work!

Will this kit be made available to people who did not get in on the pledge?

Dobber

I'm pretty sure he will have them available on his web site at some point.
