Kayakasaurus

The three that I would vote for would be: Carnotaurus, Therazinosaurus, and Baryonx. Unfortunately none of those are listed. Considering those are pretty well known Theropods, I think this poll shouldn't have been started yet.

The animals from Laramidia get all the press so lets vote for a unique tyrannosaur from Appalachia, Appalachiosaurus.  I also went with Coelophysis, and Herrerasaurus.

Triassic critters need some more attention, as do ornithomimids, so I hope any one of those critters gets represented.  ^-^ A nicely sculpted and accurate allosaurus would also be great, and the sooner the better since my current project includes an allo. It's really handy to have an accurate figure to reference without having to pay an arm and a leg to get it.  :)

I think the poll should stay up longer personally. We have a lot of members and not all of them visit daily. Would hate for them to miss out because the poll opened and closed on the same day. It's up to you though! Thanks for all your effort on this.

I unlocked it. and i have no plans on Closing it until Safari Reveals what they have in store for 2016 (Which would be around August or September. if the past years had taught us anything)

After that, I will lock the polls, Send the winners to Safari, Saying that this whole community expressed there opinions on what they want to see made. I got the Idea from Dan, when i suggested to some species to pass on to Safari, and he said I should get the whole forum involved for support.

If all goes well, I will try and do this again next year for the heck of it.

I haven't had time to consider all the options so I haven't voted yet, and I'd like to.  It'll be soon, but I'm not sure when and I don't think I should have to be rushed to do it.  I have to admit I'm quite annoyed by how rushed this process has been, both closing the vote and deciding who to put in the poll.  I'm aware it's open again now, but I feel I should say this as I started typing this response before Gwangi suggested it be reopened.  I don't see why the vote was locked anyway, there aren't 3 clear winners - Yi has 10 votes, Torvosaurus and Deinocheirus 9 each, Coelophysis and Gallimimus 8, etc..

I am sorry you feel that way.  I admit, I think i rushed things a little. and im sorry.

Went with Velociraptor because I'd like to see what Doug could make of it, Allosaurus because it's one of my favorites, and Yi Qi because it's soooo weird.

Honestly...why Acrocanthosaurus?  There's not really much wrong with that model, is there?
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Ok.  Out of these what should Safari make threads, I've actually only had time to look at the original one, this theropod one, the thyreophoran one and the ceratopsian one!  I plan to look at the others too, and wouldn't want to miss saying what I'd like to see!  I imagine there are other members who also haven't had a chance to look at them all, it wouldn't surprise me if some members haven't seen any of the threads yet!  I appreciate what you're doing Takama, it's a lot of work.  It's good to give people more time to say what they'd like to see and to vote though.

I think it would be good to link them to these threads too.  That way they can see the results of the poll, but if they want to they can also see every person's choices.  Some people would like to see more than the 3 choices we're limited to in the poll and they'll specify this in the thread.  Some people also want to see things that aren't in the poll and this will also be specified in the thread.

Has Doug said that he could release more than 3-4 per year?(taking only prehistoric reptiles and birds into consideration for this question)Also, didnt he say that he had the models of 2017 ready? Because then we might have to wait a good while if so...

That is true. The 2016 models may be set in stone. That is why im leaving the polls open until we know what they have in store for next year.  However, with the Carnegie Collection Extinct, I think Safari can put out a few more Cretures

Gallimimus
Ornithomimus
Carnotaurus (not listed!)

Yeah since the "pact" between carngie and safari is no longer in place, safari will now be able to make the dinosaurs that caregie made. For ex. The giganotosaurus, or cryolophosaurus. safari may throw those in the line... did doug also design for carnegie? If so, im very dumbfounded.

No Forrest Rogers made the entire Carnegie Collection from the day it started in 1989

My choices are:

1. Velociraptor.  My favourite dinosaur!  I've yet to see a really good feathered Velociraptor figure.  A really good feathered Velociraptor figure would be spectacular!

2. Coelophysis.  It's a really interesting dinosaur, and one of the better known ones.  I'd really like a good Coelophysis figure!

3. Limusaurus.  This wonderful ceratosaur is a herbivore!  It's another really interesting dinosaur!  Despite this, there are 0 toys/figures/models of it!  Unfortunately, it's not in the poll at the top of this page.

In any future what should Safari make threads, I think what goes into polls should be decided differently.  This time round, the first people who replied to the original thread got to choose as many animals as they wanted, and everyone else after that couldn't choose any animals to go in the respective polls!  That's not fair!  If the concern is too many choices in the poll, perhaps there could be a limit on how many animals each person can suggest.
