Yes! Finally got my package today.

Got the desert pack with Mononykus and the gray nestling set, and am very pleased so far!  :) Really liking the nestling box art. The presentation is magnificent, so I'm definitely going to have to take care of the packaging for these. The nestlings are waaay bigger than I imagined, which is great and makes up for having gotten only one accessory pack.

My heart sank for a few moments when I couldn't get the peg to fit into old Mono's foot right, but then I remembered I'd just read a discussion about that here, so thanks for setting me straight everyone. I am now in poseability heaven.

I guess we'll see if the Mononykus can hold out against these three punks, but he'll definitely be out of luck once their big blue daddy Velociraptor arrives.

I've got some shelf space for this scene in my office on campus.

so the build-a-raptors can be put together and posed without any glue? I thought they were meant to be like resin kits, something you fill in and glue together once and is only meant for display like a sculpture.

Yup, they were meant to be a solution to people who wanted to have their very own custom raptor figure. If the joints and pivots do their job they shouldn't require glue.

Seeing as the hatchlings and build-a-raptor sets are being shipped now, it'd be really cool to see reviews of them on the blog

cool! wouldn't mind picking one up myself. I wonder if moving the limbs/other parts would cause the paint to peel around the joints?

Also from today's Kickstarter update

Blade-of-the-Moon

I think all four i ordered are in wave 1.  I have to figure out where to display these at still.. my nestlings and accessory packs are still in their box.

Faelrin

Thanks for the info, but I had to check out the update on kickstarter for myself, since those phone images don't exactly read good on a much wider laptop screen.

Anyways... from what I saw, I'll be getting the Velociraptor (regular), Dromaeosaurus, and Dromaeosaurus (FC) I ordered first, then the other three I ordered (Acheroraptor, Saurornitholestes (FC), and the exclusive Velociraptor), assuming I pay the shipping fee to split the orders (which I don't see why I wouldn't). Honestly at least I'm getting the Dromaeosaurus figures sooner (as well as the Velociraptor), because they're pretty much my favorites of the ones I got, and they are the ones that I decided to get the accessory packs for.

Also interesting to note is that if I want that Wetlands pack, I probably should order it sooner then later since once added to the Creative Beast Studio site, and removed from the backerkit pre-orders, the price will be the MSRP price, which will jump it up about $10.

More images from Stefan Folkins' inspection

Even though these are meant to be the "worst of each case" I still think these figures look good. If these are meant to be the worse of the bunch I'm excited to see the best of them.

Faelrin

They look really good. The only one that looks a bit off to me is the FC Dromaeosaurus, because the head is a bit too yellow, and the leg orange striping could be darker to blend better. Otherwise that's it. They look excellent. I can't wait.

Fembrogon

Naturally, JUST ONE of the raptors I ordered is in wave 2, so unless I want to pay another $10 or so, I don't think I'll be getting mine until late spring.

tanystropheus

These latest images really bring out the color depth. Impressive.

IrritatorRaji

Oooh, exciting!

(Didn't include all the pictures because they're all rather similar looking)

Faelrin

That's not something seen very often in toy production. Looks like they are being careful with the boxes too, which is a good thing, even when they are secured in plastic trays inside their own packages.

Not a fan of raptors myself, ( I know boo hiss) but the toy themselves give me a lot to look forward to when the ceratopsian models are finally offered. I am sure I will spend a small fortune then.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I'm the opposite but I totally get what you mean! The Ceratopsians, so far, look amazing! I also really like the colours that Silva is going for, he seems to be using a lot of beautiful real life lizards for inspiration, I like it :D It'll be nice to have a Ceratopsian toys that aren't just brown, red, black, or green.

Faelrin

So I ended up ordering the Wetlands and Forest packs (sorry Schleich Dinogorgon and Safari Ltd Parasaurolophus). I can't wait to play around with those too, especially the Microraptor in the Forest pack.

But Silva used extant birds' colour scheme (if not all then most of them). I can easily identify that Acheroraptor wears a blue footed booby's colours, the Linheraptor is a little strange for me in the European bee-eater's colours or the Fans Choice Saurornitholestes is obviously wearing a greater roadrunner's colourscheme and even it has the tuft on its head.
