Cool these are totally original but I get inspiration from everywhere 😉

It seems like you turned that Corythosaurus out in record time for something that size! Nice work.

It's a bit deceiving, I made the heads in December, bodies took around a month or so, the painting just 3 hours but I spent more time figuring it out. lol

I've always loved the design and colours for the JP3 Corythosaurus, probably because we never got a figure of it.

Your woodland is very Appalachian, I was wondering if ferns grow in your region?
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Aye, Northeast TN is in that region, I've heard it compared to the Highlands of Scotland. Maybe why so many of that nationality settled here. We have ferns, they don't get huge or anything but decent and they survive the frosts and cold of winter.

Ah, that's good, I've been obsessing over prehistoric plants lately. This winter I'm hoping to plant some Auraurcaria (One species of which is the Monkey Puzzle) Pine seeds, Norfolk Island Pine and Hoop pine, both Natives here.

Seeing your Corythosaurus reminds me of a photo of a Papo Parasaurolophus customed into a JP3 Corythosaurus, which I might attempt when I get the new repaint.

Hey, are you into the show Mountain Monsters? It's bat-s**t crazy and complete bull but I'm totally hooked on it.

Nice. I'm not sure those would grow here? I do have Japanese banana trees that doe off and come back each year.

I wish someone would make one already, maybe Nanmu will get to it if they have the files.

I don't think I've seen it? I don't have cable, but I used to watch River Monsters.

Looking at your trees made me think of it. It's like Finding Bigfoot but it's obviously fake (and gets quite crazy as it goes along), with a group from West Virginia looking for cryptid creatures along the Appalachian trail. They investigate sightings, then attempt to trap the creature. The show's pretty funny, both intentionally and not.

Ever considered making a Sasquatch for your Halloween festivities?

Had a friend ask me the same today lol He said a bigfoot show taped an episode about an hour from here is Wise County, VA.  said a restaurant there erected a sasquatch statue selling tshirts and all..he said its called Woods Booger? lol

I have considered it, but getting a fur that would hold up outdoors would be rough, one reason i dont do mammals really.   I did consider getting an actor to dress up and run around as a publicity stunt for our haunt..but he was afraid of being shot.  ^-^

Yeah, Wood Booger, heh, heh.

I've got a bigfoot costume with a mask that you can move by opening and closing your mouth. Gonna give my Nieces a bit of a surprise, they both absolutely believe. Probably any passing cars, too.

A bit late on replying to this but I thought that I might point out that the Scottish Highlands are actually a part of the same chain as the Appalachian Mountains. And Scots settled in the Appalachians in part for the reason you specified. Gives you an idea of just how old those mountains are.

It's interesting how the familiar draws us, even subconsciously.
