Thanks guys.

I actually love the old retro parks too wish we had one nearby.

The retro ones have their charm for sure, but I can do with an up to date one at least, one in a whole country is not that much to ask 🤣

Thank you! I just keep telling myself it's only paint, if you mess up you just start over.  ^-^

Giganotosaurus head progress. Still needs eyes , sculpted in the full ridge along the snout vs the one I had without it. Took awhile to decide on but I like it better now.

Another Giga update, I'm moving pretty slow I know. I did get some eyes in to test, the placement isn't final just wanted to see what they looked like.

I just found out about your park project, and it looks amazing! Really digging the Gigantosaurus you're working on (although I must admit, anything with Big G in it is automatically considered a win for me)  :)) Seriously though, I really just want to take a day and look through all 183 pages here to see it all. Great job!

That gaze and those teeth ... command respect as a carnivorous theropod. The prototype gives the signal that it is going to be a spectacular dinosaur. I would like to see the finished figure.

Looks good! Really looking forward to seeing how this big one progresses.

Also, what figure is that on the desk?

Thanks! I'm flip flopping on the pose idea so it might take a bit to figure out. When  I do finish this one we will have the Big 3 of theropods.

Having a little trouble figuring out this eye. If it was like an Allosaurus then no real problem. Like in the last pic it would be flat and couldn't see well in front of itself.  But I've seen restorations giving Giganotosaurus semi forward facing eyes.  So in the pics below I added foam to create an area for the eye to sit slightly at an angle out from the skull as you can see from the pic showing it nose-back.  My problem is it doesnt exactly feel right yet.  Thoughts appreciated.

It's looking fantastic either way, very impressive.

The eye position in the first image feels natural to me, but I'm having a harder time visualizing what it reads as in the profile views. Not that I'd be able to offer much advice, but I am excited to see what this looks like once finished  :)

How are things going at the park?

That's the thing, it looks good one way and not the other, same deal if you change the perspective. My references differ a lot so they aren't helping much. 99% are side views anyway. I'm also trying to avoid a sunken skull look but keep the boney knobs and eyebrows for artistic license.

We are slowing down. It's that time of year.  The county won their court case as we just gave in to get rid of them. I can no longer do events, field trips or parties here until I build a restroom. if I want to open more trails with more models I need 5,000 to get a new siteplan, have it submitted for review where they can always say no...basically I'm left to use what I have and no more growing of the park grounds.

Those eyes ... they are very realistic, they are the eyes of a predator like that theropod, what material is the giganotosaurus eye made of?

I'm sorry about the county. It's frustrating that they decided to fixate on you, but you've built something really cool that a lot of people have been able to enjoy. I can't even imagine the amount of effort that's gone into all of your statues (considering you're toiling over eye position for accuracy I think I can make an educated guess!) and I hope you continue to work on new things for the park. I don't post much but I always enjoy seeing the updates.
