The WWD figures are still in production (not the Ornithocheirurus).  So I would not pay a hugh amount on EBay.

Really?! By who? ???

CityRaptor

They are still in production? Do they also ship outside to Germany?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

IMEX distributes in the US not sure who is retailing.

There seem to be a lot of companies called Imex. Could you provide a link to their website maybe?

Edit, a google search for Imex dinosaurs found these large and very ugly dollarstore-type dinosaurs, which the titles suggest are made by toyway and distributed by imex, but they are not the toyway WWD figures being discussed in this thread:

Imex model company in Florida railroad, toy soldiers and model kites.  Toyway was bought then the parent went under and IMex picked up all the lines.  They do not market very aggressively.
http://www.imex-model.com/ImexModelNewSite.htm  seems the site in not up?

I normally hear from their rep each year and check them out at the Toy Fair

Hmm, are you sure that is the right place DC?

It looks like a company that does webdesign.

That particular line is out of production and has been for years. Toyway ceased to exist as a company about 3 years ago. If anyone else is selling the line they must be old stock and there's a good reason for that. The BBC licensed Toyway to develop the line in tandem with the BBC series Walking With Dinosaurs and BBC licenses are incredibly high and granted to the specific company only. Anyone other than Toyway wishing to reproduce the line would have to re license with the BBC and would need to be a large company to be able to afford it. I've checked this with an old colleague at BBC licensing and can state that no company has applied for a new license for this line. It is possible for the figures to be re issued without any connection to Walking With Dinosaurs and thereby not getting into very hot legal water.

My old friend did tell me that licenses have been granted for other dinosaur related shows (2) so we may be seeing new figures shortly. I absolutely cannot say what those shows are or who has the licenses however without damaging a long term friendship.

I also have a complete collection of WWD figures, which - in spite of their static poses - are among my favorites. The marine reptiles, Polacanthus and Utahraptor are the ones I like most; my only serious dislike is for the Tyrannosaurus. Unfortunately my Opthalmosaurus has severe paint rubs, but I've never felt the necessity to replace it.

Next to the large figures I also have this boxed set of mini's that were distributed by Toyway as 'Dinosaur Babies' in the WWD line. Of course these are repackaged mini's from the Safari Authentics Habitat Collection, but I thought it worthy to share in this WWD dedicated thread:

I asked Imex about it when they first started marketing the BNHM Toyway figures.  The BBC versions were still in neogotiation I was told and resolved.   The figures were in their original packaging so could have been old stock on display.  The Imex management was talking about new packaging.  They were taking orders and offering to ship last spring.

I would like to see again in the stores the figures of WWD but I have doubts  :-\.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Oh my, now I'm curious... Hi hope they do release new figures. I never got to complete my WWD set (missing Liopleurodon, Allosaurus and Bloody mouthed rex and well... Ornithocheirus :-\).
