Some time ago I had explained on here that I had begun my project on creating a documentary-styled film series in the vain of Walking With Dinosaurs surrounding the lives of Cryptids. I have a longer explanation in another part of the forum (will have to find my link). I do realize that this might not be the right place to put this topic, and if anyone could pleas let me know where it should go I will gladly move it. That idea has evolved. I have now morphed that idea into a full on science club at my school that may intermingle into the IB program (if you do not know what this is than that is okay....too long to explain). This club deals with

Paleontology/Paleobiology/Paleozoology, Geology, Gemology, Mineralogy, Zoology, Botany, Cryptozoology, Xenobiology, Astrobiology, and Speculative Evolution.

The club entails analyzing a certain organism or theory/hypothesis and then creating a paper/presentation/or video on the subject. I have asked a person on here for concept art, and have gotten a hold of two people on deviantart that may help out as well. Each one of these artist's works may be shown in our videos and a Youtube channel will be created to show our videos. Credit goes completely to the artists and their names will appear in the credits of our videos. I am here telling everyone about this because I would like to know what should be the first thing to teach/talk about in my group once it becomes reality? And also if there are any bored artists out there willing to make some concept art/commissions we would very much appreciate it, plus you will get recognition, and who knows what else in the future.

(New as of October 2015)
We have started work on a new project, this project encompasses the creation of a series of encyclopedias that contain information on as many organisms as is possible to attain photographic evidence for. We will be creating these books phylogenetically (by order of division amongst Animalia) and also by time. As such the first organisms that we know exist will come first in their own families and so on. We would like to get the contribution of not just the members of the club, but also students that cannot attend meetings but still wish to contribute, teachers of all fields, and professional scientists (I.E. Paleontologists, etc.). We will garner the contribution from major scientists by asking them via email. We will also ask permission to use photographs that we take of fossil specimens from museums and living organisms from zoos & aquariums via email. This is an opportunity for anyone, no matter what field they wish to go into, to gather more experience and have something meaningful to put into their portfolio/resume. We are also bringing to attention information regarding organisms that have not yet seen the light of day and informing the public about the world around them. We wish to be able to sell these encyclopedia via a virtual format (I.E. Amazon) in order to fund more projects and fields trips for the club. Due to the cost to print and mass produce a series of books, of any type, we will hopefully begin by making it available digitally. Our format will include pictures of the skeleton, scale, and reconstruction of the fossil animal and for any living organism we will have the scale, skeleton, and photo of the living organism. Along with these pictures, we will provide statistical information in a list, and then a few paragraphs about the animal as far as we know. For living animals we would of course know more about them, but for the fossil animal their information would be more about where, when, who, what, etc. We will include a works cited in the back of the encyclopedia for each main website used for the book as it is more than likely a website will contain more than one page on more than one organism. We will not include every single page for every single organism as that would become to long (if we need to we will though). We will use as many photographs taken at museums of their fossils specimens as possible, with permission of course. In the beginning of each volume of the series, each and every contributor will have their picture, or an avatar if they wish their photo not to be shown, and a short biography. Each page that someone has contributed on will have their name. This project will start now and will continue until either the leader (Destin Bogart) leaves Pueblo West High School, or can no longer contribute.

Even though we have a good amount of members to contribute with their writing to the encyclopedias, we want to ask anyone who has literary skills in writing, is willing to research, and people that have relatively good photographs of the displays from the following museums.

DMNS (Denver Museum of Nature and Science)

RMDRC (Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center)

MNHM (Morrison Natural History Museum)

HMNS (Houston Museum of Nature and Science)

NMMNHS (New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science)

Have quite a few pictures taken this past summer at the Denver museum you could plow through and see what you like or want..let me know.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I have started making videos for our youtube channel, Although I have provided the voice for these first few more people will contribute eventually. Please read the above explanation to understand what our group is about and if you would be interested in being a part of it. (We also need people with good narrating voices!)

Paleo Files; Ep1: Stegosaurus

These last few are just the introductions for a few of the series we will be covering!

If you like these videos, or if you did not, and would like to see more, then please rate comment and subscribe on our channel to help us continue to grow the small amount of educational and factually accurate dinosaur videos on Youtube. We would also like critique to make our videos better.

P.S. we are well aware of the sizes of some of the footage being smaller than the perimeters of the video, and we are also working on making the voices better!

Seems like a neat project you have going on here, though being a IB diploma recipient I don't quite see how it could intersect (unless you base your extended essay around it?). As a college student entering finals season I don't currently have time to contribute, but I look forward to seeing how you progress and may be able to be contribute some photos of the HMNS exhibits in the future.

Well, it doesn't really. But we do have to complete activities like community service hours in a program called CAS, and my project has been accepted as being part of that. So I get hours for doing this project! Thanks for your reply! (C.A.S. stands for Creativity, Action, Service)

Ah, I see. CAS was a very casual matter at my school, though I heard that some other schools took it quite seriously.

Yeah, our school seems to be in the middle then!
