Jurassic World's Hybrids Toy Line?? I've heard rumors these are to appear in stores sometime in 2016. Does anyone else know about this? As a fan of the Chaos Effect line from Kenner I'm both excited and nervous on what Hasbro is about to spit out at us.  From a video I've seen (link provided below) I've heard about some of the ones that could be coming out and I wanted to know what you, an this forum I'm now addicted to  ;D thought about this.  Here is the list from the video...

Jurassic World Alpha Cycle and Hybrid Raptor Pack
Jurassic World Hybrid Raptor 1 Growler

Jurassic World Hybrid Armor Ankylosaurus Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid Armor Indominus Rex Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid SpinoRaptor Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid Stegoceratops Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid CarnoRaptor Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid Dilophosaurus Rex Basher Biter

From what I've read and seen in the video I'm not too sure about this. I'm agreeing with the guy in the video in saying the raptor pack will be Owen and his raptors. If this is true I'm hoping they make Owen look decent and not one of those mini figures you get with the Gyrosphere and other 'play-sets'.

Yeah, I'm a bit nervous about this one as well. Hybrids are not exactly a concept I want to revisit that much. Even though the I-Rex turned out fairly well.

But hey, it's 2016 Hasbro, so the quality is gonna suck anyway. ::)

I was excited for Hasbro's JW toyline before it was out, thinking it was going to be like the toys they released when Jurassic Park came back in 3D, however we all know how that went and I've only bought 2 JW toys the others I have were gifts which I still enjoyed. Anyhow ^^; I want to stay positive about these but something tells me we're going to have the enlarged heads, screw holes and top/side heavy toys.

Tyto_Theropod

Sadly I'd have to agree. When I recently came across some of the JW toys in person in Toys R Us, I could understand how long-time fans of the series were disappointed. Compared to the Kenner ones my cousins used to have, the quality was appalling. But then I guess that not being a huge JP fan myself I shouldn't really be judging this. :P

Naw you're fine friend, and very on point. The Kenner Line is much superior to what Hasbro has given us for the JW line. :( I have most of the Chaos Effect line and I love them all, from their colors to their gimmicks, it's just sad that we probably wont ever get something as nice the Kenner line again.

Plasticbeast95

Eh, seems a little iffy to me, I'm not one for hybrids.

they all look like Chap Mei-saurs, theyll fit right into the new JP toy style. Ugh.

Yup, very Chap Mei-ish.

CityRaptor

It is a sad truth that Hasbro is not Kenner. The JP3D figures were a hope spot after the whole JPIII fiasco, but then came the JW ones. So I don't thin that Hasbro will make a good Hybrid line. I also do not have that much interest in these things. While I collected DNA Fusion figures in he past ( but not any longer, indeed I sold them all off ), I realized that they were not appealing to me because they were hybrids, but because they had a rather Primal Rage-esque esthetic, also fitting with my Kaiju collection.
I actually have 3 Chaos Effect figures, but it is the three that are repaints and not new mutations.

Assuming they use the Level 40 Designs from the Game, several of those will look like Dinofroz. And the SpinoRaptor would make the second feathered JP Franchise Dinosaur after the Velocirapteryx...
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Possible first look, based on a book of the same name. Thanks to Starsteam from JP Toys:

Thanks for sharing CityRaptor as well as Starsteam! :D
Huh...that I-Rex looks like what the boxes are all based off of. The red & blue scales I mean.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm betting on  a lot of repaints..hopefully there will one or two new , cool, sculpts.

Same here, only I hope we get the better figures like they released when Jurassic Park was in 3D. It's high hoping I know. Either way I'm wanting to see what Hasbro makes.

CityRaptor

Given the line up, there should be at least some new sculpts or at least remolds. Specifically these three:
Jurassic World Hybrid SpinoRaptor Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid CarnoRaptor Basher Biter
Jurassic World Hybrid Dilophosaurus Rex Basher Biter

True very true.  :)

Now the question is which design they would use:
http://jurassicpark.wikia.com/wiki/Spinoraptor
http://jurassicpark.wikia.com/wiki/Carnoraptor
Interestingly enough neither of those is a  Hybrid or what the JP franchise calls a Velociraptor.

Those could be new sculpts or tweaks of existing ones.
