Hello.

If someone wants to assemble miniature models (like kaiyodo or yowies) and wants them to stay assembled forever, what kind of glue should be used?

Also, what is the best glue and filler to use for assembling tamiya dinosaur dioramas?

DinoLord

I have had good luck using cyanoacrylate glue for repairing Dinotales.

You're in Mexico right? I can make some suggestions for brand but I'm not sure if they're all available in your country.

Cyanoacrylate (super glue) is good for the small Kaiyodo type figures. However, I prefer to use Plastic Fusion to glue plastic figures. It is an epoxy which means it is stronger than cyanoacrylate.

For Tamiya, plastic cement works best. I like Tamiya Cement.

The Tamiya dinosaurs have good fit so you won't need to spend much time filling gaps. Aves Apoxie is good but I think it's too difficult to use for such smalls seams. Try to find some kind of paste filler. I actually use Liquitex Modeling paste because it is sandable and non toxic. Vallejo plastic putty is also a good suggestion. Some people like to use automotive filler for cars, such as Bondo, but avoid these because of their toxicity.

Thank you very much DinoLord & tyrantqueen.

The cianoacrylate glue in México is named Kola Loca and was pretty easy to find. Other is Resistol 911.

But sadly, brands like Tamiya, Vallejo or Liquitex aren't sold here, so I have either to import them, or to search what are using Mexican hobbists instead.

Thanks again.
