And here's today's poster on Facebook:

-snip-

And the text:

"Dear PNSO's friends, welcome our 7th guest invited by ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang from 66 million years ago - the #Tylosaurus."

Oh man, I really hope the model they plan to release for the mosasaur isn't a "leaping out of the water" diorama like this... Tylosaurus preview looks AMAZING but I'll be sad if we only get a bust.

avatar_paintingdinos @paintingdinos: There are photos from a 2016 PNSO exhibition that show what appears to be the full model of that mosasaur emerging from the water diorama.  There are also photos that show what I think is the Mosasaurus figure PNSO was planning to release, it appears to be resting on the same type of base as the PNSO megalodon and it seems to have an articulated jaw.  In the first post of this thread, the first two links have photos of the mosasaur diorama and the Mosasaurus figure: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=4805.0

I suppose the mosasaurus will be of the same material as the basilosaurus or the carcharodon megalodon vinyl. Therefore it will be vinyl. I suppose it would mean a lot of expenses for the company, a 1:35 scale PVC mosasaurus. Although I know it is to advance events I guess it will be vinyl because of the indications that it will have the same supports that had the basilosaurus of PNSO:

I don't know much about the different material types, but if my understanding is right, I don't get the feeling the Mosasaurus will be made of the same material as the PNSO Basilosaurus and megalodon.  In the photos in those links I mentioned in my previous post:

- Noticeable seams can be seen on the Basilosaurus and megalodon which if my understanding is right is a feature of the material used for these figures and others in the same line (e.g. Lufengosaurus, Mandschurosaurus).

- I don't see any of these seams on the Mosasaurus and the Spinosaurus however, and I think these are the ones that would be in the same line as Wilson and Doyle.  This makes me think the Mosasaurus and Spinosaurus will be made of the same material as Wilson and Doyle, and that the same will be true for the others in the same line (e.g. Amargasaurus, Giganotosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus, Chungkingosaurus).

I hope it's like that. I prefer a PVC mosasaurus to a vinyl mosasaurus, regardless of whether I am going to buy the diprotodon from Soutlands Replicas in the future, for example.

I shall be so disappointed if after all this excitement, no new models are released with the exhibition!  Still, there should be the consolation of some photos of the exhibits at least.

Agreed.  I want to replace the CollectA Spino with the PNSO one, it looks so much more detailed!
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Shonisaurus

In my case the amargasaurus PNSO if released would be the best amargasaurus made to date. Even better than the Carnegie, Battat and Safari companies.

Within the last hour PNSO has put up its book "Them: Age of Dinosaurs" on Amazon.com.

And they have put up another poster - but it's too fiddly to do the downloading and uploading of the photo on my phone!

I simply must know more about that Nankangia!

Shonisaurus

Unfortunately, the dinosaur nankangia is not very well known from what I have read, except for the remains of the jaw and parts of the post-cranial skeleton.

Oh how truer words have never been spoken.

On a serious note, PNSO is coming back with a bang...well, I guess we could say everyone producing dinosaur figures is coming back with a bang.

The next few years are going to be glorious for us.
