Incredible dioramas.
You would think the 8 picks are plenty but not this year.

Hat's off to the participants !

Silvanusaurus

What is the closing date for voting? I'm excited for the results, but moreso for the revelation of who created these wonderful dioramas.

;D It's funny that they chose a German T. rex for this.

Not just a German T. rex. A German T. rex, made in China, that depicts an American dinosaur.

Hurra! My favourite won. I was pretty sure it would - it's perfect in every way :).

Jose S.M.

I'm really happy about the winner,  it was my favorite,  very peaceful and classic looking.  Several of my picks are in the top ten too  :D

Gwangi

Congrats everyone, especially to the winners. I'm happy to see that all the winners were submissions I voted for. The winning entry itself was the standout in my opinion, a beautiful diorama that deserved the win.

Simon

The winner was certainly the best diorama of the bunch.....but since it had no dinosaurs, I did not vote for it (that's just me).....it is a masterpiece however, and better looking than many museum Permian dioramas I have seen ...

Congratulations to the winner and also to those who finished "in the money"!!!

Great work!!

Uncle Rex

Congratulations to all - very enjoyable. I hope you will all enter next year's contest.

Dinomike

Congratulations to everyone! It was a fun contest!

Great contest and congrats to all the contestants.  There were a lot of great submissions but the winning diorama is a thing of beauty.

Congratulations to the winners! I'm sure Stargatedalek will create the winners thread soon. I'll also email the three winners soon to arrange their prizes.

There is a joint second place but it occurred to me that since all of the prizes are identical we don't need a tie break poll. Joint second is just fine this year!

This means that third place, as the diorama with the fourth most votes, misses out on a prize.

Federreptil

Congratulations to the winner and the second and third places.

This was a great year for diorama builders. Everyone of this are in my Top 8, because there are so spectacular aspects in every artwork. I wondered myself how get a shot of a scene up and under the water and now the Permian still life shows perfect, how it works. The light and mood of the old English fisherman is just fantastic and I like this kind of vegetation so much. I'm not convinced with the Papo interpretation of a Baryonyx but in this motif it's a very impressive actor. Last year I discover a little fog machine for softening the background. So I love both mist entries. They got great atmospheres and I will agree with the most, the final ranking is well.

My own entry do it better than expected. A feast with Dino bods – dressed to kill with borrowed feathers – is not a real classical theme. So I thank everyone of the other 34 very much, who also elected the old ladies coffee klatsch.
