Did it snow in Cretaceous South/North Dakota during winter months?

The title says it all. I couldn't find anything on Google. And if it did, would the creatures that lived in the western interior sea migrate? I know it snows in South/North Dakota nowadays, but the past is usually always different from the present.
Thanks  :)
Is there an alternate universe in which dinosaurs collect figures of people?
