Faelrin's Prehistoric Collection: Safari LTD, JW, BotM, and more

One more pic before it all gets sent away to the eternal darkness. Or in other words storage.



In hindsight I probably shouldn't have packed up the shark spleen in the jar. Had that since I was in high school. Least I can still open it up and get it out.

Anyways that's not that important. What is that we've officially been evicted, owe over $16,000 (most is for their lawyer), plus any additional rent sent to arrears. Have nowhere to go. We would be super lucky if my dad's cousin in NY could take us, but I'm not counting on it. Don't know where the cats will go. It kills me that we might have to abandon them at a humane society, one of which we've had for 12 years and that last connection to my poor baby Stinky who was put to sleep in 2019 for cancer. We'll probably be on the street soon. Doubt we can afford a motel. All five of us (me, mom dad, brother, his wife) plus my brother's 2 month old infant. No idea how much time we have left here. Today? Tomorrow? I'm already exhausted from packing so much.

Sheriff just showed up. Still have everything in my room. Only thing I managed to grab was my laptop, my phones, switch, and my newest credit card thankfully. No idea where I set my other two at. Didn't time to even look. This is horrible. Cats and dogs are still in the property too.

Edit: Thank goodness they let us back in to get our meds and feed the pets and get them water. From what I understand we have ten days to let them know we want to get our stuff and animals out, and then 30 days to the rest out.

If you are able to access the private discussion forum I would look there. I've been writing about most of what led up to this for a while now. Since early last year I think. Still some other stuff lately I haven't been able to post since internet was shut off, and too much to deal with on mobile only. If/when we get wifi and a roof over our heads I will add more there.

Well we are in a motel for a few nights. Not cheap though but at least a roof over our heads. Fingers crossed we can go back and get our stuff soon. And our pets of course. I'm worried sick for them.

We got our pets back. So relieved they were all okay. Here's Spaz hiding in her carrier still adjusting. Hopefully tomorrow or Monday we can finish getting my room packed up and my loads of figures out of there. I did manage to sneak my Kickstarter exclusive BotM Velociraptor into my laundry basket that I finally got back now.



Edit: Well Buddy is with us as well and took like no time at all to adjust lol. He wanted food a few minutes after bringing him in too. Bob took quite a while to come out of hiding. She is starting to relax now. Spaz is still in the corner. At least she seems comfortable anyways.

A tiny update but another good one. Got most of my collection that was left at the apartment brought into the motel room with me today. Feels so good to have it mostly back with me and takes it off my mind. Basically stuff that wasn't put into storage because I'm stubborn or it was stuff I got recently (like my BotM figures). Managed to cram it and a bunch of food (some we got like last week) from the apartment too. I even grabbed the stuff I use to get my reviews (such as the background) just in case.

Well here it is. Might be one of the last times I see what was my room for the past decade. Sucks it has to be this way. Hopefully there's something better for us in the future.

Here's where my bed is/was, and to the right of it where my Mattel collection and review area was for many years. The corner used to house the black table which my amiibo collection and turtle tank sat on in, before my turtle passed in late 2020, and the 29 gallon and my father's table passed down several generations, that it sat upon, was to the right of that up against the wall. If you take a look in the previous pages of this thread you'll see what I mean.



Here's where my closet and where my big bookcase I got in 2021 was. To the left would have been the smaller white one, where I kept my Beasts of the Mesozoic raptors on. Next to it was the storage bin thing that served as a shelf of sorts to, where the big box and Mattel Apatosaurus were. Can't forget the dust still stuck to the wall where my Jurassic World wall stick things were lol. Above that was where the blanket with pics of my beloved Stinky resided after he passed away back in 2019.



And here they are back with me now (will edit it in a bit. Edit: added now), along with the bag (not seen in the pic below though) that holds my Mattel Mosasaurus, and the Lockwood Manor set, which was the first thing my friend in Germany helped me get, and what led to us being friends to this day. Very little is left to remove from my old room now, such as my bag of plushies seen above, the big box, etc.

Minor update, but I dug this guy out of storage today, for my Lystrosaurus set review (also need to ship my Herrerasaurus from BBTS out sometime. Still need to get the Nothosaurus too). I also straight up rearranged all of my boxes in with figures in them to be in the front of the storage unit, so that when we empty the truck out tomorrow or so, they won't be buried under it all. Oh and good thing I just happened to remember what box this guy was in, as it was right at the top after opening it up.

I got a few boxes of things out of storage today, since I did some cleaning and rearranging of things in the motel room here. I am honestly surprised at how much space I have here that I can get away with getting stuff out of there. No pics, but I have the bulk of my Safari Ltd collection (except some Carnegie and other older figures I think), Bullyland, Battat, all my PNSO (minis, Lambeosaurus, Parasaurolophus, plus the Deinocheirus that was on hand prior), and some Jurassic World Mattel things. Papo 2019 Spinosaurus and Allosaurus was in the box with the Safari Ltd figures too. I'll go through the boxes tomorrow and list everything in them that I have on hand again. Haven't seen some of this stuff since last year.

Part of the cleaning I did was to make more space for getting images for my reviews, but to also make more space for bringing back some of these boxes of figures. For example I wanted to have the Safari Ltd Deinocheirus on hand to get a comparison pic with the PNSO one.
