I hope there's going to be more mini tubes as well.
Mini tubes that are not shrunken down versions of existing models, hopefully.
I suggested them to do a prehistoric fish tube with new sculpts a while back... Wonder if CollectA actually read it, or dumped it in the spam folder.

I love the new dinosaurs (and marine reptile)! My favorite is the deinocheirus. Speaking of which, I can't find the 2016 Deinocheirus anywhere. I'll probably just skip the 2016 one and buy the 1:40 one when it comes out.
Is there an alternate universe in which dinosaurs collect figures of people?

Takama

FYI the 2016 one is in 1:40 Scale and the 2017 will most likely be WAY TO BIG to be in 1:40 Scale

Sigmasaurus

If I had to list the new releases in order, it would be...

1. Eniosaurus
2. Styracosaurus
3. Gigantspinosaurus
4. Kronosaurus
5. Regaliceratops
6. Deinocheirus (Deluxe)

It is? I thought the 2016 one was too small to be in 1:40 scale. Deinocheirus was a huge animal, no?

1:40 Scale is not as big of a scale as most people seem to think.

CollectA has never made a Deluxe model thats been Labeled with the Correct Scale.  I wish they would just flat out quit marketing them as such already.

Deinochirus grew up to 10-11 meters long so it would make it 9 or 10 inches in 1:40 respectively

From what i can tell in photos i saw of the Standard sized model, (when compared to other Dinosaurs that I know for Certain are in this scale) This is pretty close to 1:40 Scale, and this was confirmed by Forum Member Brontodocus(who has not been active as much unfoutantly) who likes to calculate the Scale of all of his models.

So with that, it is safe to say that tha you should take The scales that CollectA lists for there Deluxe models with a single grain of salt.

Some of their deluxe (and standard) figures have been in or very near 1:40th, but mostly just the large theropods.

I agree. I'm going to name mine Keelhaul.

I could be wrong, but I do believe every CollectA wave since the company's inception back in 2006 has included at least one tyrannosaur. I therefore wonder if 2017 will finally buck that trend.

Maybe the will do an Albertosaurus, they haven't done it yet,.or I'm wrong? I haven't seen one and it's a pretty forgotten genus. The speculation has been slow this week. I'm pretty sure there would be a "typical" theropod.

suspsy

They have not done Albertosaurus yet, no. They also have not yet done Gorgosaurus, Teratophoneus, Appalachiosaurus, Nanuqsaurus, Dryptosaurus, Zhuchengtyrannus, Qianzhousaurus, and a good many more.

Knowing how CollectA works probably they'll make one of those obscure species before Albertosaurus hehe, but I'll be happy with that too.

Haha! Of course you'd want that one!  ^-^ So do I! But I like all of these ideas!

Tetraphoneus would be great!

I find that their standard figures are much likelier to be close to 1:40. Some of the deluxe sauropods are around 1:40, but there aren't many of those and anyway most aren't very good.

As far as I can tell, the new Deinocheirus is actually pretty close to 1:40. The measurements I found for the actual animal put it at 11 m long, and the new model is said to be 28.5 cm long, so I think this earlier estimate is about correct:

I think a Regaliceratops will be among them mysellf.

Congratulations, you win the internet!

New calculations because i'm bored:
Regaliceratops ≈1:44
Kronosaurus ≈1:35 - 1:41
Deinocheirus ≈1:39

CMIPalaeo

I believe last year's standard Deinocheirus was about 1:40 for the known subadult specimen, which is something like 8 metres long.
Once a man is tired of dinosaurs, he is tired of life; for there is in a dinosaur all that life can afford.

I've been informed that the final release of images will be on Nov. 25, and that they will include "the best." So expect at least six more toys in the 2017 assortment.

I wonder what "the best" is?

A deluxe swimming spinosaurus? I will like that.

I think that in this new dinosaurs there will be a microraptor.

Predasaurskillekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.
