This is some of my sculpted artwork plus some model paints. The hatchling dinosaurs are edmontosaurs and my first dino sculpts by the way. The tylosaurus is sculpted by bob morales at 1:20 scale. Theres also a photo of its diorama home Ive been slowly working on. The rex is a very slightly modified tamayia trex. The coloration is from dinosaur revolution but it doesnt seem to mesh well with the sculpt. I'm not 100% if im going to change it or not. My giganotosaurus repaint. Theres also a dragon bust I have sculpted. its a young tree wyvern.

Good done. I like you edmontosaurus, your custom T-Rex (i have this T-REX) and your draws are amazing :)

Wath kind of cly did you use  :)?.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Thank you very much. On the T-Rex I used apoxie sculpt to create the scutes on the face. The edmontosaurus hatchlings I used all natural air drying clay and for the tree wyvern I used blackjack (satin stone) clay. I would love to have all of my drawings done by now but my 2 year old son makes it next to impossible to work on!

Really lovely work! I think my favourite is the Edmontosaurus hatchling.  ^-^

The one totally free of the egg or the one in the egg?

I've ordered apoxie sculpt from amazon.com, I think rader studios sells it too not forsure though. The other two clays I got from hobby lobby. I haven't decided if I'm goin to cast my sculpts or keep them as a one of a kind ordeal. I am goin to try to sell my sculpts as well.

Without.  :)

Lady medusa

Aw thank you! I still need to paint it. It's been a pain! The little paws drive me crazy and trying to get good eyelids on it has really tested my patients :p glad my hard work is noticed!

ZoPteryx

Great work Lady Medusa!  I can't wait to see the hatched Edmontosaurus painted, and the Masiakasaurus sketch is really cool too! :))

Lady medusa

Ha! I just noticed the face pic I posted of the tylosaur was before I added the fine detail! Oops! Hopefully I remember to post a good pic of its face today!

ingenia

Great work! Your drawings are really nice, and I like your sculpted dragon! So what do you think about Apoxie so far?

Lady medusa

It's a Lil tough for me to sculpt with so I'm sticking mainly to small projects for apoxie. It works nice for scutes, quills, things like that. I really like blackjack clay. It molds super easy and you can bake it or air dry it. It doesn't seem as brittle as other air drying clays. Now if I used it to make resin casts of I'm pretty positive the sculpt would break apart trying to take it out of the mould. I do plan on making a large adult tree wyvern bust and I'll be using some other media for that. I haven't decided if I want to try Dino busts just yet but I am going to do a bust series of all the dragons I've created as well as resin kits of whales and dolphins. I have two orca sculpts I'm working on presently. Notice I have tons of unfinished projects!!! Can't wait to have the time to Finish them!

Gryphoceratops

The little fella coming out of the egg is really cool.  I especially like their eyes.

Lady medusa

Thank you! I would like to maybe make a series of hatching dinosaurs. I think baby Dinos are super adorable but you don't see a whole lot of professional sculpts of them. I'm debating making a few more edmontisaurs coming out of the eggs but if I do I think I may only have that one fully out of the egg.

I think my next set of hatching Dinos I'm making them big enough to use glass eyes instead.

Yutyrannus

I really like your sketches, specificly the spinosaurus and 2nd suchomimus drawings (I really like spinosaurids :D).

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Meso-Cenozoic

They're all very nicely done indeed! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Lady medusa

Gryphoceratops

Really cool!  I like the perspective you have going on there.  Do you plan on putting individual scales at least on the up close animal?  Also I would check into whether or not the background animal had that flexible of a neck or not.   Its still a nice piece though.
