I did a quick search and it doesn't seem as though anyone else has mentioned this, apologies if someone has.

Haruo Nakajima the man in the rubber suite from the original 1954 "Godzilla" until 1973's "Godzilla vs. Megalon" has died back in August.

"On August 7, 2017, several media outlets reported that Nakajima had died, at the age of 88. The following day, on August 8, his daughter Sonoe Nakajima confirmed that he had died of pneumonia." Variety

I was never a big fan of Godzilla but I know some people here were so I thought he should be remembered.

I was so sad to find out Godzilla died, but when I kept reading before his death  that he couldn't make it to conventions because of health. I just knew it wouldn't be long before we got news of his death.  When I found out I quickly put on Godzilla  (1954).  For he is Godzilla.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. RIP Mr. Nakajima.
We are accustomed to look upon the shackled form of a conquered monster, but there - there you could look at a thing monstrous and free." - King Kong, 2005
