The Allosaurus is very promising, will you add a little more bulk to the body?

Oh wow, that allosaurus is starting to look like a real allosaur! Keep up the good work!
What I love about Allosaurus is that it lived an extremely violent life that was rife with broken bones, cuts, scrapes, infections, sprains, and yet it just kept on truckin.

Thanks :). And yes, the entire model is going to be revamped. The figure has sort of a zombieish vibe to it with the amount of wrinkles and shrinkwrapping it bares. Personally not a fan of the design choice so I'll see where I can go with it.

The Carnegie Tyrannosaurus custom is shaping up beautifully. I never cared for that figure, but your greenstuff work has really improved it. I hope you can bulk up the skinny legs :)

more progress on the tyrannosaurus and allosaurus

the tyrannosaurus now has wrinkles, folds, and scales along a good portion of the body. all the while, i am really learning both the strengths and the weaknesses of green stuff. overall, i am really liking how this is turning out.

with the allosaurus, i decided to try out another epoxy clay that i wanted to use. tan, magic sculpt. i used the epoxy mixture+ a little bit of polymer clay to apply and detail the neck. i REALLY like using this clay. can't wait to use more of it.

I am a huuuge fan of that Allo  :o
Are you still working on the CollectA Diplodocus?
I would really like to see how it looks in the end.
And one more question, are you painting youre models, when theyre finished?

thank you :). i really dig the skull shape of this figure. imo, its among the most accurately shaped tyrannosaurus skulls i seen on a relatively cheap, mass produce figure. but the complete lack of texture and slight shrinkwrapping on the body really left a lot to be desired.

oh man, i honestly can't wait until i get to those skinny little chicken legs >:D it's definatly among the many change i want to do to the figure. i just might change the leg position a little bit. haven't decided on it yet though.

QuoteOne of the Carnegie rexes?
you were close :)

QuoteSafari Albertosaurus?
ding ding ding, we have a winner.

yep, it's the old carnegie albertosaurus. i did a heck of a lot of shaaving, cutting, and reposing in order to get it to actually look like an albertosaurus. lol

thank you. i did a little more work to the figure since that photo, imo, it really came a long way comparing it to it's original zombieish appearance

yep, i still working on the dippy. all the limbs are glues back onto the figure. though admittedly as of recent, i had a lot of fun working on the theropods and thus been working on them while the dippy stands on my counter top. will be picking up on that figures progress soon :)

i plan on painting all the figures here once i'm finished sculpting over them.

I thought I recognised that dull grey and weird looking teeth! You've reworked it beautifully, it's hardly recognisable as Safari's Albertosaurus.

Excellent work, you're turning some average stuff into finely detailed models.
