I trust your description, so average stuff overall.
Highly recommend you look through those yourself, I am heavily biased  ;)

Just had a look, I find kinda good Blue and the Dilophosaurus. I might even be tempted to get them, provided they're small enough, cause I don't want large plastic toys to take over my shelves.

Well since others have chimed in on what there is, I suppose it wouldn't hurt if I do too, since I have already seen the other leaks. I'm really glad there's finally going to be a Gallimimus figure after this long, and the Stegosaurus looks good too. The Stegosaurus seems to have colors like the JP Series 1 Stegosaurus too. Also while not the unreleased original sculpts done by Sara Richard for the Hasbro Dino Showdown line, in a way we finally get a decent articulated Carnotaurus and Stegosaurus now. I think I might have to get that Gallimimus and Stegosaurus, aside from the Baryonyx, and Carnotaurus, and possibly the Allosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Stygimoloch, and Triceratops. Sad there doesn't seem to be a Parasaurolophus or Ankylosaurus figure yet, but at least the Kenner Parasaurolophus still holds up really well, and the JW Ankylosaurus wasn't too bad for JP/JW figure. I also really like how they have a sense of scale so far with this line too. I can finally achieve that dream of having my own little "Jurassic Park" since most of the films' dinosaurs have been made or will be made into figures at this point.

Finally a movie accurate colored Blue figure, and several of them it seems like (one standard smaller figure, like the Gallimimus, and one in this set with Owen with a motorcycle). I plan to pick up the standard figure. Also there seems to be figures of Owen and Claire at least with hatchling figures much like the old style Kenner figures. Now I didn't really bother with the human figures as a kid, and I'm not too concerned with them now, but I'll probably just pick up the Owen figure just because of the baby Blue included. At the very least it might serve as a good size comparison with the dinosaurs in this line as well.

I have to wonder is the T. rex with the decent/more JP styled head the larger one or the smaller/medium one? It's also the one with less seam lines compared to the one with the oddly long and thin head seen before the images were removed. Regardless of the size though I hope to get it, since it seems to be the one with that green prototype head seen before.

i'm betting the paint apps arent final.

I think there might be two Mosa figures.. the one now looks detailed and plastic the first one was less detailed and more rubber looking.

I'm going to have to pick and choose, especially with the classics line coming too.  The general vibe i'm getting is Mattel likes this license more than Hasbro.
There are definitely two Mosasaurus, the small one seems to be electronic.

Saw a packaged version of Blue and the Dilophosaurus, and the packaging look sweet. Now for the bad: they lack painted claws, and have the bare minimum of paint detail. Sculpts aren't too bad for JP toys, but they really should have had a bit more paint detail for what seems to be a final product. I'm pretty sure most of the final JW basher biter figures had more paint apps then these seem too. I really hope the larger figures don't suffer from this (like the Carnotaurus). I guess I was a bit too optimistic for Mattel having this license. I really hope these don't suffer the screw holes too, just to keep the prices down, aside from the lack of paint detail.

Just saw the new packaged leaks as well, and yup, Mattel fails to deliver.

I really hope these paint apps aren't final, these look even worse than Hasbro's later bashers and biters.
Small $5.90 "Attack Pack" figures included in the leak is the green hunched over raptor, Raptor Blue, and one ugly Dilophosaurus. Seriously the Dilo is just plain ugly, I dare say Hasbro's growler did a better job than this. It looks nothing like a JP Dilophosaurus.
The other 2 look like cheap dollar store toys rather than collectable items. Even Hasbro's Basher and Biter Blue has painted claws, painted underside and paint that extends to the tail, this one is just sad.
Though I have to say Mattel's Blue has a much more movie accurate colour scheme than the Hasbro one.

Behind the absolutely disappointing small figures, there are 2 $11.44 figures, one seems to be Owen with his motorcycle, the other is another Blue. These 2 seem to be part of a gimmick set with pull back features and stuff that might entertain the kids.
Owen definitely looks better than Hasbro's lump of deformation, only the head and hands are seen so there isn't too much to say about the figure. The bigger Blue has slightly better paint job than the smaller one, with white highlights near the blue racing stripe.

Overall not impressed, as usual. The moment I heard Mattel was getting the license I just completely lowered my expectations. But I didn't expect them to be this bad... Hopefully they get their paint jobs corrected and improved, and they better not mess up the larger figures. Universal should've given the license to Vivid Imaginations, they've proven themselves capable with their Ultimate Gorgon.

I really don't understand how anyone can say these are worse than Hasbro's based solely on the paint. The sculpts, designs, scale, articulation, and even the action features are all so much better quality.

Hasbro saved enough money by using cheap plastic, low detail molds, cheap sculpts, and tacky poorly thought out and easily damaged gimmicks that they could put ever so slightly more effort into the paint. Hardly seems better, or even equivalent, to me.

Not to mention that a lot of Hasbro's B&Bs also lack paint on the tails. And of course Hasbro's Blue does not even look like Blue.  It's like that toy is based on some kind of parallel universe where Blue is a male and Owen is seriously colorblind...
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Appalachiosaurus

As long as they don't break after 30 minutes of playtime, these will be much better than Hasbro's attempts. Sure, it isn't David Silvas level quality, but who was expecting that?

Blade-of-the-Moon

packaging does look nice , will keep my inbox pieces dust free. I'm curious about that green Raptor..it looks like the Cyclops Raptor in pose but I'm wondering if it's a wild Raptor captured along with Blue..her "mate" ?

Paint is an expensive step unfortunately. At 5-10.00 a figure it's what i would expect. You can get better paint for a few bucks more but they have to look at what will sell to their " target audience ". The prices are pretty attractive now , you go up 3.00 say and it increases the chance parents will just try to get a 1.00 chinasaur from a bin instead.

I know we're not allowed to post leaked images here, but can anyone tell me where to find them? No link, just tell me what/where to search?

[Have been sent a link, no need to PM me]

Reptilia

Can't find those new leaks either, anyone mind PM me a link?

The Metriacanthosaurus is certainly charming... though it's kinda hunchbacked with a tripod tail.
What I love about Allosaurus is that it lived an extremely violent life that was rife with broken bones, cuts, scrapes, infections, sprains, and yet it just kept on truckin.

ChrisLikesDinos

Keep in mind, the 'Attack Pack' (basic) Dinos are SRP of around $7.99 - so the lack of paint is to be expected.

AFAIK, the goal was to keep them to a better plastic and build quality than Hasbro's Bash & Bite assortment, around the same size, but cheaper in price. So I can't be too bothered by the paint, though I certainly would like to see them improve there.

The packaging looks quite nice there!

Did everyone see the Pastebin leak, with (most) of Mattel's 2018 lineup? It's only missing the big dinos (like Rex/Mosa) and vehicles AFAIK.

Reptilia

Seen the Dilophosaurus and Blue in package, not excellent but way better than Hasbro's counterparts.

I don't think I've seen either of those actually. Where are they?

Those are leaked images that we're not allowed to post here, unfortunately. CityRaptor PMed me the link but I already deleted the message.

Saw the rip run Blue and Owen that were posted today, and if it weren't for the gimmick, that version of Blue is pretty close to being movie accurate. I mean the blue stripe has the white outline, the belly is a pale color, and the claws on that are painted. The Owen looks pretty good too. I really hope there's another figure of Blue (aside from the rip run, and attack pack), that has the paint detail of the rip run one, and decent articulation, such as the arms, legs, and jaw (assuming the attack pack figure has an articulated jaw), and of course doesn't have the screw holes issue like the Hasbro JW figures. That would be ideal for me.
