I'm so excited, I can't wait for my wallet to be pillaged by these figures

ITdactyl

sooo...

I'm gunning for:
Attack pack Gallimimus (my Tyco Strutiomimus needs a companion)
Action attack Stegosaurus
and the blind bag minis

still having an internal debate if I'm getting that pteranodrone.  I mean, yeah sure... I'm a pterosaur nut, and here's a flying pterosaur toy.  But who has time to play with drones? LOL

from the list posted by Blade, I'm really curious which legacy T. Rex will be included in this line.

In one of those pictures on the last page, the Stygimoloch is labelled as "Stygimoloch-'Stiggy' " The only other dino to have a nickname alongside it is Blue. This could mean that the Stygimoloch has a more major part than presumed.

Edit: I hadn't watched the video at the end of the last page, the dude just plain out says that "he'll have a very heroic role in the third act". Exciting!
like a bantha!

Faelrin

Well I can't wait to see how Stiggy's role plays out. It's going to be interesting to have a named herbivore for once, aside from what the ones in the TLW got nicknamed prior to being captured.

After reading that list on JPToys, it is safe to say most of what I want will be out in April then. I'll try to get the Carnotaurus and Baryonyx first, then the Blue and Owen Story Pack, and then the two large herbivores, Triceratops and Stegosaurus. The more expensive ones such as the Mosasaurus and Tyrannosaurus (Edit: First the medium one, since it has the film accurate roar, and is a bit cheaper, and scales better with the other things in the line), will be the last on my list until the other stuff is eventually released (like the Ceratosaurus, Indoraptor, and Herrerasaurus).

Roll on April!, and I am intrigued by the 'legacy items'; can't wait to learn more about these and see images. Just hope that my wallet will be up to the task here - ah; who needs three meals a day!

Reptilia

There's a lot of good stuff in there, some of these really look like the best stuff out of a JP toy line ever. I think Mattel nailed it with the huge T-Rex and the Mosasaurus in particular, they both have the potential to reach the legendary status of the old Kenner's red T-Rex. I'll try to not buy anything, cause I don't really want my shelves crammed with toys, and I don't have kids either to justify any purchase, but in all honesty it'll be very hard to resist.

MLMjp

I found another video that shows more figures like Protoceratops and Suchomimus:

PD: Thrash n' throw T.rex looks even better here. Now I definitely want it.

Reptilia

Cool that you can recreate the Mosasaurus versus Pteranodon scene from the first movie! Definitely Mattel put a lot of effort in this line, considering also the variety of human figures and vehicles offered. Quality of the products aside Hasbro really wasted an opportunity three years ago, the movie had a massive success and their toys were so scarce and poorly thought.

John

When I was a kid,I would have gone nuts for these both big and small, like the Protoceratops,Carnotaurus,Mosasaurus and more.Who am I kidding,I would go nuts for some of these now...  :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Some thoughts after watching this video:

The Carnotaurus does have a thin head (1:20 in the video)! Not perfect, but certainly better then the Disney Dinosaur take on this creature (or the Papo and Schleich figures of this creature, for example). The Triceratops also does have a long tail, but it isn't as long as I was thinking it would be, which is a plus (4:42 in the video). It's comparable to the old Safari Ltd figure I think, although the fact it is straight out is probably why it seems so long too. The Thrash and Throw T. rex just seems better and better the more I'm seeing it. Edit: It is funny how I thought the leaked image of it looked kind of ugly, but it really seems like they got the proportions okay, and the head sculpt is pretty spot on. Also "Such as this Dilophosaurus" while holding the Triceratops, made me giggle, when they were scanning the foot. I don't usually care about mobile gimmick's but it seems interesting they've went all out for that too with creating fully animated dinosaurs. I really do like that Pteranodon drone thing, but with all these exciting toys, I don't want to plan for that. I find the mask and glove set interesting too. I certainly would have enjoyed playing pretend as a raptor with that as a kid.

Also you can make out the Pachyrhinosaurus and the Pteranodon Roarivores in the back with the Mosasaurus, which can also be seen pretty clearly at the end of the vid. Overall this is a very good lineup, and the best since the Kenner days (not even going to let the childhood nostalgia I had over the JPIII figures get in the way of that), and honestly I think this is really on par with the Kenner stuff, if not possibly better in some ways. At this point I'm more excited for these toys then the movie they're based on.

I might be wrong, but I think we haven't seen the girl with T.rex skull and figure as well as the Proceratosaurus before.

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I'm going to have to buy all these and keep them in storage for my son when he's old enough to play with Hot Wheels. Already got a Batman-themed set aside for him!

To be completely honest, when Mattel was handed over the license I was worried. I've always found their toys kinda "meh" and the only times I'd own their stuff was when I was gifted it, but I'm so happy to see that they've actually put so much effort into this toy line. I hope it sparks an interest in dinosaurs in young children as the Kenner toys did with me :D

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

While not accurate to the real dinosaur, that is a very nice Allosaurus!  Much better than that caution sign yellow monstrosity Hasbro released.

the only really tiny thing bugging me about it is the last three teeth on the upper jaw look too far back..but it's really minor nitpick..def buying him!
The thing bugging me is that, like SO many, they didn't give it the enlarged thumb claw that Allosaurus is supposed to have.  BUT!  It's still a very good Allosaurus.  Wonder how it'll size up next to the Dino Showdown one.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

I think that's Maisie, the little girl from the trailers.   I'm glad the are making kid figures, maybe we'll get a good Tim and Lex for the classics line now.

ITdactyl

I hope the T. Rex anatomy kit isn't indicative of the movie fate of that character....

I really like this line.  I have a few that I'll definitely get... and will try to get the others as the wallet permits.

Flaffy

Oh what a shame, the rumoured Postosuchus turns out to be a mere mini blind pack figure.
So there is indeed a Classic/Legacy line! Definitely looking forward to see the TLW coloured Pachy and the authentic original JP Dilo.
However, while I do give them credit for making obscure species, and is more forgiving to inaccuracies on said species, that Proceratosaurus is just weird. Wish they gave it a longer tail, it's proportions are just off.

stargatedalek

Wait, are they confirmed for blind bags? That's crummy. The one thing Hasbro did right with JW was giving us the option to buy the bag with a guarantee of getting every mini. Blind bags are the worst.
