I see that BoTM ceraptosides are of two sizes one smaller and one larger, and without scales as I like it, I understand that the protoceratops that I was longing for will be impossible to buy it will be very expensive, the size of the protoceratops rivals the figures largest ceraptosides in that collection.

The protoceratops is $75USD, I think you can get it along with one other item from the backer kit?  It is a bit pricier though compared the smaller ceratopsians.

Too expensive for me sincerely if I buy I will buy Collecta's as consolation and I say it with all the pain in the world.

Thank you so much avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin for the awesome comparison pictures! I'm glad you had fun and I'm sorry to hear you feel a cold coming on, I've got a cold too :P

Faelrin

avatar_LeapingLaelaps @LeapingLaelaps No problem. I'm glad those pics are of help to folks, and not just myself.

Also sorry to hear you are sick too. I hope you feel better soon.

Here's a quick preview of the Utahceratops! I can't wait to see this guy fully painted, gila monsters are one of my favorite animals and I'm so happy to have one of the Ceratopsians colored like one!

Silvanusaurus

Oh Good Lord I wish I could afford to get one of the adult Triceratops (if they're funded), I don't even like ceratopsians but thats one of the most impressive dinosaur toys I've ever seen.

Shonisaurus

Awesome, this utahceratops has an exceptional camouflage paint. David Silva's BoTM series excites me.

I'm happy to see this one funded now. Not only do I want it after seeing the sculpt in person on this past Sunday but the color scheme is going to be killer, from being based on the gila monster.

This now just leaves the Pentaceratops (at $420,000), adult Triceratops ($450,000), and Torosaurus ($465,000) left to be funded. Not much farther now until those big beasts get unlocked. I certainly am looking forward very eagerly for the day(s) they do, especially with one of my personal favorite genus of ceratopsian, the Pentaceratops next.

Here's a quick preview of the finished Utahceratops prototype, fully painted! Full gallery tomorrow ;D

Faelrin

Easily one of my favorites now. I definitely need to get this one when I can (will have to wait after my backerkit selections however).

Less then $4,000 to unlocking Pentaceratops now too.

Damn, that looks pretty.
Gotta choose between the Utahceratops and Sinoceratops... Both are such good figures.

Shonisaurus

Honestly, all BoTM figures are good figures without exception, it is very difficult to choose which one you want to get in your collection. I think this collection of ceraptosides is as good or better than that of predators already sold by BoTM. David Silva has done a magnificent job.

suspsy

That Utahceratops is particularly spiffy. Concept art really doesn't do these figures justice.

Some pictures from Facebook of the finished Utahceratops prototype! ;D

Faelrin

Well looks like Pentaceratops has been unlocked now, as we hit the $420,000 mark.

That is a massively successful fund raising push.

Yeah, to be honest, I thought the gila monster colors would look bad on this figure, but the prototype actually looks great.

The art seems to use navy blue instead of black, but the prototype is more faithful to the actual lizard. It looks a lot better.

Brontozaurus

Is it odd that the inspiration for the colours of the Triceratops swayed me to change my choice of add-ons in the backerkit? According to a facebook post David put up of all the BotM colour inspirations, the Triceratops' colours are based on the lace monitor, making the toy a combination of two of my favourite animals. So now I've gone for the sub-adult Triceratops, Monoclonius and Centrosaurus.
