I just saw that too. I'm so glad it did. This is definitely one of my most wanted ones.

You know what would be great?
A picture of at least one of those "action figures" depicting any one of these poses. Something other than just walking or running.
That would be blissful to me. Because I don't believe they can.  :'(

I think David's ambition clouded his judgement a bit here, at best we might unlock Medusaceratops and wave 3 is out of the question. It's a shame, I really wanted that Sinoceratops. I'm happy that Chasmosaurus got unlocked though because boy is that pleasant to look at.

Well, no, of course not. It's not possible for any animal figure to achieve a realistic sleeping pose, no matter how many joints it has.

Worst comes to worst, at least some of the ceratopsians made it. And who knows, perhaps it'll prompt David to make some changes with the tyrannosaur series. Perhaps instead of a T. rex the size of the Bull from Kenner's TLW line, it'll be one the size of the Extreme Chompin' Rex from Mattel's JW line.

I wonder if it's practical or feasible to do a second Kickstarter for stretch goals that weren't unlocked during this Kickstarter at a later date.

Faelrin

There's been a lot of discussion about this on the kickstarter and David has said he would still like to make the ones that might not be funded made, and try to find a way to do that, but has emphasized we should also wait to see how far this can go while there's still time.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the figures aren't in any wacky poses because they're still fragile resin(?) prototypes and are meant to be in a more "neutral" pose in order to show off the paint details, both for us and for the factory workers who need to be able to see all the areas in order to paint the actual figurines properly.

If they were posed to be sitting or laying down, the legs would obscure the paint on the side of the body meaning the painters would have to guess what the sides look like.

I would say that the Pachyrhinosaurus is probably the most impressive of the entire line. What are the chances of it being funded?

Pachyrhinosaurus is 100% the most impressive of the line, and my most-wanted figure. At $345,000 I say chances are slim it gets funded - though perhaps with the apparent success of shuffling around Wave 1, shuffling around Wave 2 may bump Pachyrhinosaurus up. My fingers are crossed!

Yeah, maybe...but every unpainted proto-type is also photographed in just a walking/standing position. To me, that would be the perfect opportunity to show off all the amazing things you could do with these figures. Why have all these cut joints on a figure if all they can do is stand? Revoltech figures can pose in the most amazing ways. So it is possible.

I know, it's just me, I will stop responding to this thread. These figures are cleary not for me.
Don't get me wrong. They look wonderful. I really do like the bold paint jobs.

Exactly. They are glued in place before painting.
The articulation is also not finalized, they do that at the factory when they are refining and preparing the parts for manufacturing. This happened with the raptors.
