Fantastic review, you don't happen to be working for Rebor do you? If I hadn't decided already you would have convinced to buy them!!!

Haha, no and I didn't even get them from Rebor for reviewing but paid for these two as all of you (I guess :)). Also I guess, this review won't make it to their facebook site for pointing out the scientific inaccuracies. I anyway love the models, for their lively and somewhat "burianesque" charme.

In the review I missed a thing as I wrote the text right when I got the figures, but only recognized the issue when they stood on my desk for more than a week: The wings slightly warp,.... on Judy I think it's simply related to the weight of the wings, but the warping is only weak, to same degree on both wings and looks quite natural. On Punch however, the warping caused the wing tips to touch each other and made bones of the wing finger look like they are broken. But the issue was solved with a short hot water bath and repositioning under cold water and since then holds stable (will also add this to the comments).

It is interesting what Mark Witton has to say about the recently reviewed pterosaur models, on Twitter.

I've taken care of it, Hali, don't worry. :)

Thanks, Suspsy!

@Gwangi: Thanks for the discussion of plagiarism in your review. I bought all my GeoWorld figures before I caught on to that, which feels pretty hypocritical as a sometimes-illustrator.

This is the only Geoworld model I have and I bought it second hand. There are a few others that I like such as the Guanlong but I just don't feel good about supporting the company. When I wrote my original review last year it was a bit more topical as we had an entire thread about it. Since that discussion is "old news" I thought about just reviewing the model this time without so much emphasis on the plagiarism but that Troodon is such a blatant example that it couldn't be reviewed without addressing the plagiarism.

Just wondering, did Gabriel provide permission for us to include the artwork in the review? In the context, I'm sure permission would be forthcoming, but we shoud ask all the same.  O:-)

I think it constitutes fair use for the purposes of commentary and criticism, at least in the States. I don't know anything about UK copyright law but I imagine it's similar.

I never would have thought that I would see the mashers reviewed.  I never saw them as worthy to be reviewed as they are so childish and inaccurate.  Defiantly, not my cup of tea.  After reading your review, your right, you just need to see it from a younger perspective.  Two thumbs up on that review.   :)

Gwangi

Well, I guess it is a dinosaur toy. On that note, next up, I'll be reviewing Godzilla!  >:D Not really though.

Most Godzilla figures at least have better sculpts, details and paint jobs than this.  :))
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

As Gwangi said, it's a dinosaur toy, which means it has as much right to be featured on the DTB as anything from Safari, REBOR, Kaiyodo, or all the other manufacturers. Although you're well within your right to personally dislike it, of course. :)

And it won't be the last Hero Mashers set I review here. ;)

Oh, I'm aware. As you can see used :)) I was just playing along ( although it is true ) and a I know that it qualifies by being a Dinosaur toy. This is the Dinosaur Toy Blog afterall, so it makes sense to not only review the collector oriented stuff but also those intended for kids.

Agreed!  Here are the relevant links, for anyone who's wondering:

Thanks for that, I was looking for those. I'm just happy to see him chime in on the Tupuxuara itself and not my review of it.

A review of the Playskool Definitely Dinosaurs Ceratosaurus:

I was a Dino-Riders buff at the time, but I vividly recall the ads for this toyline.
