I for one like the style of Playmobil more than it's competitors, sure it allows less freedom when building things but I prefer the "animated" look it has as opposed to blocks.

I really hope Playmobil brings back the dinosaur line for a third time in the future. It would be especially nice if they rereleased the Saichania in a smaller set. The first one was way too large and pricey for my budget. A shame, because as you can see, it was fantastic!

Playmovil has its beauty. Although it seems (and in fact one hundred percent is) that is aimed at children, it must be recognized that it is an educational toy that exceeds the expectations of other educational toys seem more serious more. Playmovil has educated for tens of years millions of children from all over the world and I think the revision made of this figure and everything related to this company seems very good.

Playmovil extends as Lego to a multitude of themes from science, art, history, technology and paleontology. They are perhaps the most complete toys for children made so far and this company like almost everything in life has improved year after year the quality of its products. Although by my age I am not a fan or collector of Playmovil (in my childhood forty years ago) they are quite creative toys and as I say quite complete and that mainly serve for the entertainment of the little ones. All Playmovil reviews are welcome.

As a man of 45 years old I still enjoy Playmobil with my young children! 😀 Great toy great company.

I think some I saw some of their Dinosaurs re-released in their "Super 4" line.

Ah yes, here it is:
A Baby T.rex being harassed by some sort of alien rabbits...those things are two invasive species in one!

A set with a raptor, some environment, another alien rabbit thing and what is pretty much Claire from Jurassic World in blonde:
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Wow, those knockoffs are funky and creepy at the same time.

I really wish I'd been able to review this set for the blog, but as with that volcano I posted earlier, it was too big and too expensive for me to justify the purchase:

Actually they are genuine Playmobil products based on a tv series. Saw an episode of the series that had the heroes having ( a knight, a female pirate, a guy in a fancy suit and a fairy ) to deal with dragons. Said dragons turned out to be a Tyrannosaurus and a few raptors, which explained why they could not pick them up with their heat scanner, since Dinosaurs are cold-blooded...in a tv series from 2014.

Curse those cold-blooded, tail-dragging, lethargic theropods!

Hadn't heard of Modocia before, I was thinking Flexicalymene but the spines were throwing me off.

My question is why are the first few pairs of legs clawed? Did some trilobites have claws? I thought the smaller claws on the walking legs was a solely lobster thing.

Pachyrhinosaurus

I think it actually favors greenops more than modocia, especially if you look at the segmented glabella. The only thing is that the genal spines are a bit short compared to greenops.

Here it is, my review of CollectA's Supreme Dimorphodon!
http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/05/29/dimorphodon-supreme-by-collecta/

I wonder why they decided to give it a yellow body but gray patagium. I can't think of a single bat species that has these two in drastically different colors.

The sculpt is great... so it's a perfect candidate for a repaint...  ;)

It's not the first time I've seen such a depiction.

I'm fine with it, although I'd certainly be interested in seeing fan repaints.
