You might be interested to know you are incorrect about the introduction of Kinder Joy. Kinder Joy eggs are still available outside of the USA. Kinder Joy eggs are different because they contain entirely different food, and you are guaranteed one of a small selection of toys. They weren't changed to get around US sales regulation since those regulations recently started allowing regular Kinder Surprises anyway.

"Normal" Kinder eggs are one incredibly thin chocolate shell with a usually junk "toy" inside. If you like spin-tops that don't work or cardboard fidget spinners than good for you, but needless to elaborate most people don't feel much "joy" when they open them and finish the 3 whole seconds worth of chocolate.

Kinder Joy are designed to circumvent the usual complaints of Kinder Surprise, that is the lackluster amount of chocolate and the often horrible surprise. Hence these contain a chocolate cream dip (which is ~5 times the mass of chocolate you'd normally get) and only have one series of toys your prize will be from.

I loved the Panini sticker books as a kid.  Part of the fun of loving prehistoric creatures is all the great artwork that has been done over the years.
