avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor Well, the brachiosaurus from the Kleinwelka brand looks like a very good figure, as good as the brachiosaurus from Invicta.

It's much lighter but is really very charming. I did a review of it on the DTB

That's a cool find, Libraraptor, congrats!

Speaking of opportunities that are impossible to refuse, when I heard of someone selling Bullyland trilobites in mint condition for a relatively low price I couldn't resist.

I think that might be the same seller I mentioned in the New on Ebay ( Germany Specific ) thread a few weeks ago.

Oh, wow. The illustrations in the Book are quite nice. Just ordered it for 4,99. Thanks for the Tip. I still have all the Books from my Childhood. The Difference is outstanding. Every Time.

You are welcome. It's also a far cry from most Dinosaur books aimed at children one sees today. Those aimed at children nearly always look rather bad. I thinned out my book collection (not much in comparism to the number of books I have ) a few months ago, and checking though books, a lot older books aimed at children also look bad, so things did not really change in some aspects. And there is also the fact that a lot older books were apparently sold for decades. So it's nice that children ( and adult collectors of nice illustrated books ) get something like this book once in a while.

My congratulations CityRaptor for your new acquisitions, the diabloceratops and dinogorgon belong to a line of Schleich as I have said on other occasions quite brilliant, on the other hand it is fortunate to get a book of dinosaurs for coupons, it is welcome for any collector.

Thank you and everyone who congratulated me.
Although I only got the figures for the coupon. The coupons don't work on books due to  fixed book price.

Well I had a special mini haul of sorts today. Got these both off ebay from completely different sellers, so kind of nice that both showed up earlier today (or technically yesterday as I'm getting around to posting this after 12am).

I finally got my hands on the Carnegie Collection Woolly Mammoth, as well as the Bullyland Medusa Jellyfish. This year I've been doing lots of catching up on other brands figures (old or recent), what with how little I've been having to spend on Mattel's offerings so far this year (which is like the bulk of what figures I've been buying over the past two years).

Very minor wear from what I can tell on the mammoth (was shipped very nicely though, so probably the state it was in prior), but the jellyfish was still in its baggie. I also love the girth of the mammoth. The only figure I have I think (that's not an action figure) so far that comes the closest is the Safari Ltd Missing Links Woolly Rhino, and maybe the Feathered Tyrannosaurus and Apatosaurus too.

WalkingWithBeasts

I just recieved my CollectA Elasmotherium yesterday (love the size of it!) and the Mojo Hyaenodon version 3 (with the Walking with Beasts style markings) from eBay. I'm also expecting the Bullyland Mastodon and Andrewsarchus later today from a German website (https://sandspielfiguren.de/en/)
Walking With Beasts is the best palaeo media documentary and no one can persuade me otherwise.

The Elasmo really is magnificent and I find that , texture-wise, it displays well with the Papo wooly rhino. I remember my excitement when I found the Bullyland Mammoth= Gomphotherium in a mixed bag of figures at a local thrift shop north of Toronto for $3.99 Cdn. We don't see too many Bullyland figures over here.

WalkingWithBeasts

Most or all of the good prehistoric mammals models from Bullyland are now discontinued. I'm still searching for the woolly rhino and the Mastodonsaurus.

avatar_WalkingWithBeasts @WalkingWithBeasts My congratulations on your new acquisitions, the Collecta 2019 elasmotherium is an outstanding figure and I sincerely remain "hooked" on that figure even though I bought it almost a year ago.
On the other hand, the Mojo hyaenodon is a very good mammal figure, in general of first quality, without a doubt Mojo's prehistoric mammals are superior in quality to their dinosaur counterpart, it is a pity that Mojo does not continue doing more prehistoric mammals.
On the other hand, the gomphoterium or mastodon is a figure of prehistoric mammals from Bullyland that is not one of the ones that strikes me the most, I would have preferred a gomphoterium with open jaws.

Thank you avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus I agree that the Mojo dinosaur figures are pretty bad in my honest opinion and even their mammoth isn't great. I only ordered the Bullyland gomphothere because I could and it was fairly cheap, I've already got the CollectA Gomphothere and the Safari Amebelodon so this was a nice addition. Mojo seems to be sticking to creating models that parallel the AAA ones (Smilodon, Mammoth, Hyaenodon, Entelodon, etc.) but they could easily create some more underutilised species although they do have the Quagga, Thylacine, Deinotherium and Brontothere.

I received my Carnegie Mosasaurus today and am expecting the Bullyland Deinotherium, Smilodon and Eusmilus soon.

Shonisaurus

Congratulations on your new acquisition of the Carnegie Mosasaurus. It was in my case one of my first vintage figures. On the other hand, the figures that you comment on Bullyland are interesting especially regarding the deinotherium.

Thanks again! I managed to find those Bullyland figures relatively cheaply on a German website if your interested. https://sandspielfiguren.de/en/

avatar_WalkingWithBeasts @WalkingWithBeasts Thanks for sharing that link. I'm going to ask my friend in Germany if he can help me get the Pteranodon, "Claw Animal"/Chalicothere, and the Bullyland Phoenix and Basilisk (to add to my small fantasy collection as well) from there.

Wasn't Toyotamaphimeia a crocodile?

S @Stolpergeist Thanks. It certainly is pretty. I quite like how the underside of the bell looks too. Come to think of it I should get a pic of that tomorrow in case anyone wants a look.
