In regard to Papo's poses I was thinking more along the lines of say their walking rex or the classic Allosaurus. A neutral pose in my mind is something like the WWD figures - now they're neutral! Just something more naturalistic rather than the weird "gotcha!" pose struck by their Baryonx or all of the bowing poses (Acrocanth, Diloph, Carnotaurus...).

avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar Nice haul. I really do like both of those Kronosaurus figures. The Giganotosaurus pair looks great too. I do prefer the sculpt more on the Vitae one, but I think I kind of prefer the color scheme on the Carnegie one a little more. I know Safari's has a good sculpt too, even if I'm not fully keen on the striping it has. If Papo were to ever make one I wonder how that would fare among all the choices for this genus.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Thanks! I have the same feelings as you, although if Vitae kept their QC on paint application, it might be a different story. Nonetheless, the Carnegie paint aesthetic is gorgeous.
Safari's artistic licensure of the paint is one I am unsure of for their 2017 release. It seems like it's a simple two-paint (periwinkle/dark brown) application, and the simplicity upsets me.
The sculpt is gorgeous though, so I'll be picking it up soon either way. Gotta wait for the next paycheck.  ;)
I think I will take the attitude of our resident Giganotosaurus hype-man (S @Syndicate Bias) and say that Papo releasing a Giganotosaurus can only be countered by one released by PNSO.
I know it will be amazing. Well, unless of course, they choose their "other" sculptor to get the job done. Then all bets are off.

We shall find out by late November at the earliest what Papo has in store for us  >:D

Starting in October!

Honestly if not a Giganotosaurus at least a Concavenator or Carcharodontosaurus would be nice

Woo, it's good to be back! I've just been away for the past 2 weeks, kinda this half holiday, half work experience thing. Spent a week in Germany and another in the-middle-of-nowhere in the Welsh countryside.

And, of course, I was hunting for dinosaur figures in my spare time ::)

While I was in Germany, came across this pretty impressive Schleich section of a store and picked up a Barapasaurus and (2015?) Giganotosaurus :)

Also from Germany, found these mini Bullyland figures in a Eurostore

Then, while visiting the 'Big Pit' coal mine in Wales I came across these little guys in the souvenir shop, along with a really interesting shell fossil that stood out from the others on sale there as it had really small crystals inside!

^ For some reason, this one is my favourite. It's an Iguanodon, but it's based on Goodrich's restoration. I think it's cute :D

^ A Velociraptor, if you could believe it

avatar_IrritatorRaji @IrritatorRaji That fossil looks amazing. Good haul too.

Hadroaurus by Superior.  I love the marbled brown color!  One Hand Broke and the tip of the tail but it's welcome here!

MLMjp

You take a break when you go on vacation, but I never take a break from collecting!

IrritatorRaji

Sweet haul! Even got the Mosasaurus, nice!

I forgot to post about these two, my first Indoraptor and Stygimoloch, although not what I had in mind....

Yes, I am soo happy that I finally have it!

Roselaar

Got me one of these. I like it, despite the weird colours.

Fembrogon

Some relatives of mine picked this up at a garage sale for $5 - it's supposed to be an authentic fossil, but I'm having the hardest time making out what it is.

The pewter figure on top is a Velociraptor, so I assume there are Velociraptor fragments in the slab underneath. Is anyone familar with Fossilmania?

Meanwhile, this little fella arrived from eBay today:

Yup, I've poked my nose into the Kaiyodo Dinotales rabbit hole. I'm liking it so far! The plastic does feel potentially brittle, but the sculpt and paint details are very nice for the size - and this guy is pretty small! I knew he would be, but actually seeing him in person is different.
I actually have more Dinotales on the way; I happened across a seller who seemed to be asking very good prices.

Hard to tell from just one photo but looks a lot like the Marx hadrosaurus. I like it.

Took me a few weeks but got the JWFK Suchomimus. Such a unique look to it but it is amazing. Same with the Baryonyx.

It irks me (no offense meant) to see members getting hold of the Mattel Suchomimus and Mosasaurus when the only way that I can get hold of these is to pay BIG BUCKS online. "Distribution" sucks.

According to Mike Frederick's collectors' guide Superior used Marx molds  in the eighties.  Marx are older. Superior came in brown and green marbled colours.

To be fair, I haven't found it in stores. I just got super lucky and was able to purchase it off Amazon at retail price. So the store distribution right now for them is not very good.

They also did some beautiful marbled greys. I had an image with all three colours in my collection thread before Photobucket dropped the bomb.

She was a Smyths exclusive, so had to travel a short distance to find her, but she's worth it! She's probably my favourite Mattel dinosaur released so far :)

Only thing I really don't like about this girl is her tail. It can't hold its position and always falls. Had to slide a couple pieces of cardboard under it to get it to hold its place (also rather annoying that, once you put the tail in, you can't take it back out again like you can do with Mattel's other dinosaurs)

(Also that paint chip on the tooth was my fault, was not careful enough with the scissors)

All depends on where you are. We only just got the wave 2 mini packs and some of the wave 2 figures. It's probably more to do with distribution allotments than anything.

I actually like it because of the weird colours. Though I haven't seen it in person yet.

The fossil is a slice of bone, likely from a dinosaur but chances are it was never identified or even identifiable. Small disassociated bone fragments and chunks are quite common, I have a few myself. They mostly come from the western United States, this one appears to be from Utah. They're just kinda scattered along the landscape and are often sold at gift shops and such.
