Even though it's tail is a bit short, and it's head looks big and more like an Allosaurus head. You can´t deny that the Albertosaurus looks really cool.

SpartanSquat

Guys we are seening the future of an Indominus...let paint it white, put large arms and a new head and then an Indominus

Blade-of-the-Moon

i think it's too small to scale up correctly.   when they do an indominus it will big..they know the fans want it.

SpartanSquat

They can scale up. The body and neck scale backs are identical from Indominus

Shadowknight1

Lengthen that tail a little and give it bigger arms with three fingers and it would be a fantastic Allosaurus.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

I like how the battle damage has the ribs showing, like the old Allosaurus Kenner made. Even though the head is Allosaurus like, it does have some tyrannosaur characteristics, in that it is large and bulky. I definitely want to see this one get repainted in the JPOG color scheme (even if the sculpt is much bulkier then the ones in that game). It will be cool to pair this one up against the Styracosaurus too.

As I've stated before, the Mattel Albertosaurus is a fantastic original piece (on par with their T-rex, Spino, Carno and Mosa).

Did they streamline the sculpt for the Allosaurus?

What is up with the T-rex? It looks the same as the old model but for some reason it also looks disproportionate as if the head is larger or something...I can't quite put my finger on it...I think I am losing my mind.  :P

I think it's the neck, where it's articulated makes it look less bulky so the head seems larger. I do like the paint so I'll have to see it in person to see if it's worth it.

I appreciate the comparisons. I can totally see it now.

Flaffy

Eh, the actual product looks better than the promo pics.
I blame the crest shape for making the Albertosaurus look like an allosaurid, which closely resembles The Isle's allosaurus.

The armour is a bit over the top for a tyrannosaur imo. Mattel should've made it wrinkly like their rex and do without the dorsal pates.
Not a fan of the permanent dino damage on the leg either, reminds me of the dark Hasbro days.

Overall, this would've made a much better allosaurus model than an albertosaurus. Period.

Armor? Where?

As for the "Dino-Damage" on  the legs, those are scars.

Oh wait, you are talking about the Albertosaurus. Did not see it at first.  I would say that a few scratches like that are nowhere as bad as Habro's gaping wounds.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Hey true believers. I'm back, and I'm going to give away a Lockwood Battle set FOR FREE. Find out in the B/S/T to learn more about it.

Primeval12

The albertosaurus slightly resembles the one from Primeval: New World. Therefore, I will buy it :)

MoarCrossovers

No point in me getting excited over these because I know they'll never come to the UK.

Gwangi

Despite the spindly tail and Allosaurus-like head that Albertosaurus is a must have for me. Can't wait!

So the Quetzalcoatlus that was rumored is official thanks to there being an amazon link for it. Here it is:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSNCPPG/ref=psdc_166507011_t3_B07GSTK718

It's also a Dual Attack figure. Although I'm thinking it is actually a Mega Dual Attack like the Stegosaurus, Suchomimus, and Amargasaurus, considering the price (the Parasaurolophus is $15 by comparison). Might be a fall item since it isn't in the app. Ultimately I'm glad this one is being made though, although I hope it's decent, and not like the Kenner one.

ITdactyl

a... quetz....

be still my heart.

I wonder if they'll keep the JP:TLW aesthetic or if it'll look closer to the real animal (by JW standards of course).

Quetz is for Fall, and is a Mega Dual Attack - weird it only says DA, but the price gives it away (plus Quetz is in the MDA official asst description). Amargasaurus is the other Fall MDA.

terrorchicken

I love it, even if its basically a chimeric theropod.  I wonder if it could be modded with the arms of the allosaurus to make him look more like an allosaur?
