avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp It would be interesting if they got pushed back, or at the very least had their sculpts reused there (although in a way the quilled one's sculpt has been used many times now, just without the quills). I guess we'll have to wait and see of course. I can only hope that those two do eventually come out, and its just a matter of it being all hush hush (like when the Legacy Gallimimus and repainted Pteranodon hit stores and there was no idea when they would come out, or even what the final product in package looked like before hand). The second wave of Battle Damage figures have been pretty late to hit stores for some reason, so maybe they'll follow soon after too. But I am worried if the new Dino Rivals assortment is already starting to hit some stores if the one pic avatar_Loon @Loon posted is anything to go by (and most certainly will start getting more widespread between January and February).

CollectJurassic's site seems to suggest Jan 6 for the new stuff at Target too. If we are lucky those two Legacy figures (spitter and raptor) will show up then too. I'll have to give that a check when I can (may have to wait till later in the month to get things though, if not even next month, for some personal reasons). http://www.collectjurassic.com/123018-2/

I hope the new stuff comes as late as posible. The other day I asked my father to order the battle damage velociraptor from amazon and although he did ordered it he replied to me: Don't you have a limit? ???

So yeah...I need a break of at least two months otherwise my parents will throw my collection through the window... ::)

PD: They are usually very supportive of my hobby, but considering the amount of stuff that I have got since the line was released it is quite reasonable for them to tell me to stop.

Loon

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp I feel you, I might just pick up the styracosaurus for now and wait a bit to get the rest. This line has eaten up so much of my time the past few months, I think a break's in order. Though, maybe my reason: because I just got back into ordering more azccurate figures, is not the best reason to take break. Stop buyng figures to...buy other figures, not really a break, but whatever.

avatar_Loon @Loon, definitely not a break from my point of view. If I decided to stop collection JW toys just to go back to regular and more accurate figures my parent will still tell me to stop. And speaking about about accurate figures...Who knows when I will get back to collect those, I want a few of the new safaris and also the CollectA Baryonyx. But I think I won't be getting any of those in a loooong time. ::)

Loon

Yeah, you're right. At least the models, like CollectA and such, are always easy to find later one, at least as long as they're being made. This Mattel stuff, who even knows.

Faelrin

I feel you both. It would be nice to have a break right about now. Thankfully there really isn't much on my wishlist for Mattel's 2019 stuff so far, so that should be less spent overall in compared to this/last year (although that also depends on when the BotM Ceratopsian kickstarter goes live). Hopefully most of this stuff lasts around for the next couple of months. I at least expect the rexes (the green Legacy family pack and the Bite N Fight) to be around for a while in any case. It would be nice to get catch up on some other releases that interest me although my space for those is rather limited now.

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp There's a screenshot of Mattel reps saying they'll be out soon, I can't find it atm though.

Also here's some concept art, that seems mostly official, for some cancelled (maybe) playsets:

Also, here is some potential concept art for the maybe happening 6" linch:

Take these with a grain of salt, the guy who shared them might be a liar.

Faelrin

Probably official. I had heard about the canceled volcano set and how it would connect with the Lava Surge set. I also saw the Jeep art (with Nedry) on Jurassic Outpost, so I'm pretty positive that one's at least legit. A shame there were so many sets canceled though. At least some of them still made it out there.

The 6 inch line is happening, whether these designs will be incorporated we don't know. We've only seen Owen, Malcolm, and Blue.

Def know for a fact these are real, they were shared via a chat with mattels design team for known JP collectors a while back. Most if not all were cancelled however.  The Six inch stuff as far as I know is still happening.

ItsTwentyBelow

Kinda glad most of that stuff was canceled...

What was the final iteration of those odd playsets on pedestals supposed to look like I wonder? Only good for taking up space it seems! No interest in the mini playset. The Nedry playset looks sorta cool, but I already have the #18 Jeep and a Dilophosaurus, so Nedry himself would be the only new thing. I hope we get him as a carded figure with his Barbasol can and a mini Dilophosaurus instead.

Buck T.rex w/ Junior review:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iSMVbphlu0
As much I like it I have to admit. They should had put a little bit more effort on it instead of just repainting it like that. A little bit more of paint will have helped more. At least put stripes on the tail. :(

BTW I have seen comments of people who despise and hate this figure to a ridiculously high level, even claiming that they want it to burn in hell. :o
Other people said it was an insult to the fans and to the Buck T.rex. :(
It´s just a toy! I now that it is not what it could have been, I can understand if you don't like it. But c´mon, it is not like this was the worst thing ever.

PD: Youtube is starting to get full of reviews of the new Dino Rivals figures. Damn it! How I am supposed to take a break from this if the only things I see are the new figures!

CityRaptor

Looking through the comment section, most of those hateful comments seem to be coming from the same person. So it's just one person, but he is very vocal about it. There is also someone agreeing with him, but for all we know, that might or might not be a puppet account.

You may also look at this trope:

As for the cancelled sets, that's a shame. Seem like the smaller volcano would have re-used Mini Action Baryonyx, one version of the Triceratops and the Matchbox Gyrosphere, but would have an exclusive Owen.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I´m sorry if it is inappropriate to discuss thing like this, but I just enter on the hater´s youtube account...
He is just a big kid, and he has a video on his channel in which he actually praises the figure and says he is speachless...yep, you heard that right.
He is just an immature troll basically.

Ok, no more talking about hater and trolls, lets get back to the figures.

I really really hate when I say to myself: I don't need this figure, I don't need this figure....But then it turns into "I NEED IT!"
The Bite n´ Fight T.rex for example, I actually want it, I think it looks really cool, but I already have the Thrash n´Throw and I don't want to replace it because I have an emotional attachment to it (My first BIG Jurassic Park/World Tyrannosaurus) and I also don't want to have dozens of JP T.rexes.

So I have to resist the temptation somehow. ::)

What's that, you say? Hateful comments on YouTube?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Are you serious? Over a toy? If you don't like it so much, don't buy it!  >:(

Faelrin

Yeah the lack of yellow spots on the back and lack of paint on the tail kind of bugs me, even if it makes sense from a budget perspective because additional paint apps are expensive, and they also want to keep these toys cheap, but I'll still get it because I have low standards I guess, and it'll be much easier and cheaper for me to acquire in comparison to the Kenner bull rex (although that one is much closer to the one in the film with the paint scheme, and thicker neck). But like with most of the other Legacy Collection dinosaurs, this is just another one that isn't as accurate as it could be (yellow spots on the back really would have made it I think, give or take the paint on the tail).
