"there but not used" (What is a good word for that in english?)

"Abandoned" or "unused" would work

Meanwhile, the famously sought-after Play Visions amphibians have almost nobody listed as wanting them. I'm sure there are several reasons for that, but it might be in part because they were added to the database later.

I was baffled when mine up on eBay failed to sell for even $10 a piece this week.

Thanks, this would have worked. Where's the facepalm emoji? Extinct would also be a good word  :))

I have to admit that I have not yet perceived these figures as "sought-after". I think these figures, even if they look very good, only appeal to a very small group.

Halichoeres

Interesting! Thanks for looking into that, avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector. So there are some abandoned accounts, but that doesn't seem to be driving the pattern in a major way. As for the Play Visions amphibians, maybe it's just that the people who want them have a hard time getting them, but there aren't that many people who want them. It took me a couple of years to find them all after I started collecting. avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono I'm surprised the final prices were that low!

I recently purchased the CollectA Thylacine female, and noticed it wasn't listed on the site. Could it be added?

Thank you!

I have two questions.

1.) Are museum specific models, such as the Bristol "Doris the Pliosaurus" or the "Banjo" Australovenator, going to be to the site at some point?

2.) Could there be a way to have gift sets or dioramas count as multiple species? I have both a Velociraptor vs. Protoceratops mini and a Cambrian mini set from Favorite, but they only count as one species, Velociraptor, or "Various" respectively. I don't want to waste your time, but I just wanted to see if there was another way to do this?

Again, I really appreciate your site (I think I'm a little obsessed with it), and am really grateful for all of your help.

As far as I know, Banjo is already on the site. I second everything else you've suggested though, especially having multiple species for sets  :)

Also, I just noticed that the 2018 & 2019 Recur releases are not on the site. Are they going to be added?

DinoToyCollector

avatar_Loon @Loon
Good spot on the Recur items. There's no other reason they are missing than simply being overlooked. With adding new items and older ones, this happens often. But yes, they will be listed soon.

Museum pieces will find there way into the database but Banjo exists as avatar_Ravonium @Ravonium stated.

The multiple species thing is something I am going to work on in future. It's a challenging task right now due to time issues  :-[

No need to rush yourself. Thank you for the response.

Late reply, but in that context 'throwaway' would work as well (although you'd need to put it before rather than after the word 'accounts').

Crackington

I've been continuing, on and off, to send photos of missing dinos etc to the site and I am glad to say that Dinotoycollector had put most of them on! I think they are gradually improving and looking less blurry!

I've been off work today with a bad cold along with my youngest daughter and so took some snaps of my four Dinowaurs Survival toys, Crylophosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Gigantoraptor and Suchomimus, which Dinotoycollector has added very quickly!

This series was a real missed opportunity as they had a good game and cards worked out, were nicely packaged with useful info and a good range with often unusual or unique species. However, this was let down by poor quality models. The weird rubbery plastic used made them warped even on purchase and they just didn't look good overall.

Taking photos of them was hence a challenge as two could not even stand up (I used a bit of clear plastic in between the legs which allowed just enough time for the snap).

Anyway, sorry to ramble on but I hope folk enjoy them and please add your own photos to the site, it's good fun and there's plenty that need a snap!

DinoToyCollector

avatar_Crackington @Crackington Thank you for the shout out and the pictures! A lot of figures need images still but the database is growing everyday.
I want to publicly thank avatar_Martwad @Martwad  for the great effort on putting the scales to many of the Kaiyodo figures! I think this will help a lot of people finding the right figure for their collection.

Hello, I'm missing some toobs:
- Safari dinosaur skull toobs: https://store.safariltd.com/products/toobs-dinosaur-skulls-figurines-687404

Prehistoric mammals skulls: Same, but it's discontinued.

I don't know if this should be considered to be included, but I have it, it's very nice.

Small update for people with fast internet: if you want, you can set the limit for the number of results on the browse page.

DinoToyCollector

Perhaps one or the other has had problems with login and collection management in the past few days. The reason for these problems were changes to the login procedure as well as to the major change, which some may have already noticed:

It looks simple, but it is now possible to add several models of the same type to your collection (actually it was hard work). I think that's interesting for many users. Furthermore, you can now use the checkboxes to control whether you want to delete a figure from the wish list or from the collection. I think all of these are great updates to improve the experience and flow of the site.

More functions will be added in the near future.
At this point I would also like to ask again what you want for the site?
Two major features are planned, but maybe there are things on your part that the website could benefit from.

Faelrin

Wow those are features that would certainly be handy to me (especially in the few instances I have more then one figure, and managing a large wishlist with checkboxes versus one at a time would be easier to manage).

I think I would like to see a way to view collections and wishlists by period much like by company or taxonomy.

One thing I have noticed is if you do a search by animal name, and then you try to do a sort, the page returns blank.  I'm not sure if the page is unable to do a sort from the search results, or if it is a problem with my browser settings.
